However I do agree with you on the fact that she could've killed a lot of people with that *food, she should've gotten a an enormous fine for that, and should've been prohibited from selling any food product (maybe not permanently, but at least until she showed the capabilities and knowledge to at least not ship poison).
Even in California where rent is completely bs high, that's still enough to rent a 4 bedroom apartment for an entire year and leave with enough money to buy food, pay all your bills, and still have left over for entertainment. How did she not consider just renting a flat and saving the rest?!
The pink sauce lady will never get a chance like this again. Calling her a chef is like calling me a behavioral scientist for Watching people at the park. It sounds like she got a decent amount from royalties and signing. Not being able to cover PREVIOUS refunds is already money mismanagement and a red flag she was blowing any and all money that came in. If there was 30k from refunds there was probably 10x that from sales. Yet she couldn't cover the refunds due to her likely bad spending habits. She had the world and a huge opportunity. This lady will now fade into obscurity. And judging from her situation she has no educations or real skills to fall back on.
1/10th refunds will probably get your entire payment solution automatically flagged and shut down. 😅 A company with a 10% refund-rate is almost *always* fraudulent; it’s sky-high.
@@TomJakobW I'm just using it as an example. Who knows what her refund rate was. Her refund rate at the beginning was high but surely sales without refunds were more common. Judging her sales off her 30k for refunds, she obvisously made a good amount of money. Yet she blew all her liquidity right away and had no money to process refunds is a red flag. I mean her trying to bill the company 10k for a birthday party and 800 and 600 dollars for shoes and clothing is an insight into her spending. She blew it on frivolous stuff as soon as the money came in.
The whole saga of this pink sauce is almost like a children’s poem you tell your kids to teach them lessons about gratefulness and empathy, “a pink haired woman made a pink hair sauce that made everyone gasp at the thought, she got successful off its fame but fumbled the rest of it and blamed everyone that she sought and now she sits and she mopes and says we’re all dopes for causing her career to rot.”
Great analogy. I can picture that. Ever see Willy wonka with that little spoiled girl who is greedy and she doesn’t listen and she ends up turning into a big balloon and floats away? Kind of like that kid too lol.

So I dunno what you're refferencing.
It’s insane how she thought that getting royalties for her novelty dipping sauce would be enough to cover for a spendy lifestyle change. She fumbled the bag so hard it’s comical. Feels straight out of a story book you would be read to as a kid
Like the goose that laid the gold eggs. Guy got too greedy waiting for more gold eggs to be laid. Decided to cut the goose open to remove the eggs and ended up killing it and not getting anything. If im remembering the story correctly.

They gave her $120,000 in advance payments, and according to that letter, her royalties for an entire quarter was $666. Thats like a 45 year advance. They really believed in her growing the brand. They went above and beyond for her and she blew it on parties, designer dresses, and sneakers. Talk about blowing an opportunity. Sheesh.
$45k initial partnership aggreement, $30k help with pre-partnership refunds, $40k help with living expenses (2022) and another $5k for living expenses (first quarter 2023), so $120k total. From the first moment I heard of "pink sauce" I knew it was a stupid idea, not only because it looks revolting but in Colombia we already have "salsa rosada" Which literally means pink sauce and it's really good, a better shade of pink and it's safe to ship and consume. Her idea wasn't even something new.
We have a "pink sauce" here in Denmark aswell, but it's for icecream and is more or less just runny whipped cream with alot of other sweet ingredients. We don't call it pink sauce though, we call it 'Guf'.
Not defending her but her pink sauce has nothing to do with salsa rosada… soap companies come out every day and aren’t doing anything “new”… they’re just trying to market themselves differently
I don’t think it’s about the sauce just being pink I think it’s about the sauce being such a repulsingly bright pink and looking like something no living organism should ever consume that made it so popular. And the controversy over it being unsafe for human consumption only boosted its popularity even further
Yup, although i have seen product, side by side a vegan and a 'non-vegan' version of stuff that is vegan by default (pesto) and ofcourse the vegan branded one was more expensive for identical ingredients (same factory evrn so probanly only the labeling machine is seperate). Stuff's gotten so bonkers that i'm not surprised someone tried to market a genuinly non-vegan product as vegan at some point.
The most frustrating part is how she pretty much broke serious laws but nobody ever punished her for it. I've seen hot dog stand owners dance through hoops just to set up in their area while this lady breaks every hoop she touches and nobody bats an eye. Then to top it off she's very mean to everyone trying to help her. If anyone deserved to lose in this way, she was the most deserving. Justice was served, even if it did end up being neigh self inflicted. I hope someone with actual talent and a half decent moral compass takes her spot on some big companies promotion list. And God help her children. They'll need it.
It was frustrating to see how she was getting a free pass from Burmans even though she was selling death in a bottle. It feels good to see karma kick in! Edit: call it karma, consequences of your own fate, either one I hope it goes downhill for her! Except for her kids of course.
They should've just fined her the very moment she was shipping sauces out in 2022, since she did violate FDA regulations. But like always, that's too much work for the justice system.
DG literally offering to pay her legal fees so a lawyer can go through it with her so she can understand what she signed, and understand that they are in fact doing WAY more then is required of them, I’ve never heard of a company being this…. Patient. Ever.
I'll never believe this was a good deal for Dave's, the thing looks vile, has horrifying public opinion and the creator is also not so smart knowing all she's done.
They have great PR from all of this. Everybody talks how good they were to her and mamy people would rather buy mediocre products from 'ethical' company to support them than from 'evil' corporate one with great products.
BINGO! She was too concerend about getting money quickly and for friviolous things instead of building a proper partnership which will take longer but the rewards will be far greater.
Dave's seems to have won on all fronts of this business venture. They gained more public recognition, a good light in that recognition, a new brand to sell (unless she pulls out), and also kept their customers alive and not buried by the original sauce.
She didn't just fumble the bag, she threw it on the ground, Dave's Gourmet picked it back up for her, and she smacked it out of their hands. Just sad, childish behavior... allegedly.
Quick thing, Muta. Walmart does have clearance, but Rollback is different entirely. Rollback is just a sale deal where clearance is when they're trying to get rid of something. You can return rollback items but you cannot return clearance items.
She basically frauded a whole company became rich then lost it all within 6 months then gaslighted people saying she never got any money 😂😂😂 Jeez she’s nuts
Had this been a white women, they would never have compensated this much. They would have called her a Karen and moved on. Last thing Daves wants is labeled racist then canceled.
The thing that upset me the most about this lady was when she went on a television show and had the whole audience gaslight a guest that was calling her out. I'm glad she's getting what she finally deserves.
In my experience the health department knows about as much as pink hair lady. They'll make you install a fire suppression system over a toaster. They'll make you install grease traps in your plumbing drains under your building even if you only cook things in the microwave. They'll make you purchase and install specific brand name floor drains near anything that gets wet or has liquids. (Kickbacks, anyone?) You say you have a 400 square foot U shaped kitchen and you installed a handwashing sink at the left bottom of the U? That right side is gonna need a handwashing sink too, make sure it's brand name. If these people didn't have government jobs they'd be homeless

Damn, Dave's Gourmet stepped up multiple times in ways businesses don't typically do and was MORE than generous to her, yet she still rage quit because they suggested decreasing, not shut down entirely, simply decrease her budget for something she would "potentially" use in TikTok videos. How does she have even $25k in sympathy money? Aside from maybe donating $1 just to leave a comment, no one in their right mind should be giving that woman free money. She had it and she blew it.

I went to Walmart tonight and saw pink sauce on an end cap and literally every bottle was a different color . Who spending 10 dollars on that is beyond me.
So my take from this story is that we should buy more Dave's Gourmet sauces because they seem like a cool company. Just not the Pink Sauce because Veronica the adult child profits from that.
From what I've heard: it's veteran ran and they make some damn good jerky and sauces (other than the pink sauce) and the guy who runs it treats his employees well
She was given one of the biggest breaks that many never get even with the flop that happen social media during the original release, DG took the biggest risk ever. The way she handled everything is mind blowing
Good lord, DG was SO lenient. They were SO much more forgiving than ANY company should be in this situation. Something something looking a gift horse in the mouth.
some people aren't born for success, Chef Pii clearly accidentally became successful in that her sauce was "popular" but everything else about the business was a failure, including the initial sauce sales
If you take what she says as truth, that's almost EXACTLY what she did. If she's not bullshitting people for pity, she doesn't deserve to have her kids.

Her attitude and greed are prime examples of why I won't touch the sauce, even if it is coming from Dave's Gourmet. She's the equivalent of the bike meme where the guy puts a stick in it and then cries foul.

So funny story time: i work at walmart, and we recently just threw out a few boxes of oink sauce. Me and my buddies were laughing about it. Its made better cause she was forced, but as regards to our store, we no longer sell pink sauce at this walmart. we had to remodel a whole piece of the shelf cause it took up 4 spaces. All you seen in the isle was pink when you first walked in.
According to what DG said in their statement which I read through Atozy’s video, she was supposed to be responsible for continuing to market the sauce while they would handle the safe production, bottling, and getting it into stores. I guess she thought that this was just her golden ticket and that she’d never have to do anything again and she’d keep getting these big royalty check to fund her newly upgraded lifestyle. After the big controversy and her signing with DG, I never saw anything about this sauce again until this new controversy between her and DG came up. If that was me I’d have been posting videos with recipes and anything else I could think of to try and promote this stuff. I guess the fact that it wasn’t very good didn’t help, but it doesn’t seem like she did much to promote it either. She blew all her money while trying to expense DG for “marketing costs” which was supposed to be handled by her as per the contract. She really fucked herself in every way possible and she’ll get no sympathy from me. Plus she’s not exactly a sympathetic figure either. It sucks that her kids have such a shitty mother and I feel bad for them, but not for her.
Daves went well above and beyond standard practices here -Covered refunds up to 30K from her disastrous launch product (This alone is huge, imagine the lawsuits she would have faced) -Handled all manufacturing and production -Brought product to shelf in major retailers -Provided a 40K loan for her stability, no interest rate no fees -Extended 10K loan with first royalty payment -Offered to pay legal fees for financial assessment -Did not enforce contractual agreements -Did not pursue legal action for fraudulent activity -Legitimately cared about her well being -Paved the road for success How did she show her appreciation? Lied about their integrity and played the victim. Irresponsibly spent all that money. How does one explain this, ever? I’d be mortified. I have no doubt all Dave’s wanted was her success.
I think the biggest fumble was her not marketing pink sauce during the barbie thing. She could've marketed right along with the aesthetic, and got a lil performance bump.
THAT'S SUCH A GOOD POINT 😲🎀 If she hadn't ruined her own reputation and got caught up in dumb shit, her business would've been on easy street. She really had to go out of her way to fail this hard...
People spend a lifetime to get this much help from a company like Daves. And even then they likely won’t have the chance to get this much help with their product. Yet…. This kind of stuff happens.
She got an opportunity she should've never had and threw it in the trash, acting entitled the entire time. She deserves it even if DG sues her into the ground, and I don't care if she won't be able to feed her kid. They would be much better off if Child Protective Services took them anyways.
CPS is so messed up. I've seen situation after situation where good, caring, but poor, parents get endlessly scrutinized even though their children are taken care of, and blatantly awful people neglecting or harming their kids were just ignored and allowed to continue what they were doing. Our system is beyond broken.
@@MYNAMACHEF Yeah, she didn't deserve one bit of that opportunity, but I feel bad for her kid. if the kid's father was trying to get custody the court fucked up majorly.

And even then they gave her like thirty chances. Insane how some people just stay mentally five all their lives, and expect everything given to them on a silver platter.
@Joe-no7gs Sure it does. I've personally been victim to a corporate entity just shutting down and rolling up a new corporation in order to avoid debts.
If she had a bit of patience and a little bit of maturity, she could likely have done all she wanted to do and even more. $10000 birthday parties? Could've made it a $25000 party if she waited.

The pink sauce lady is an example of someone who’s mental development stops while they’re a teenager. A normal adult, no matter how their experience is with money, would not have fumbled this hard. A normal adult would not throw a $10k birthday party or spend $1400 on apparel. A normal adult would’ve used these funds to create new products for DG so they can, in turn generate more revenue. DG should just buy the rights to pink sauce and cut their ties from this lady.
Do you know what the most ridiculous thing about her is? In an interview she said that she wanted her kids to start getting jobs and pay rent. The fact that we already don’t believe that she has kids but then she says that they should also pitch in is really sad
My wife got some on clearance at wal-mart for $1. I had a seizure last month and almost died. I almost broke the seal, the thought crossed my mind, in my celebration of life. I kept it for the meme, but I have been eating Dave's insanity gourmet hot sauce for 20 years. She did them dirty, in pink.
Those videos of nasty expired sauce sabotaged any hope of this taking off. Those Pink Sauces aren't going anywhere, people don't want food poisoning, even if they fixed the issue
ALL SHE HAD TO DO WAS RENT AND MARKET THE PRODUCT!! LITERALLY! Dave’s Gourmet was going to handle EVERYTHING ELSE!! $120K advance is ENOUGH to rent where she’s from in Miami in a decent apartment meanwhile she does marketing and make huge returns for DG Within 1-2 years she would’ve been swimming in cash possibly hiring or creating a small marketing team and she won’t have to do NOTHING maybe even get BOUGHT OUT by DG themselves after some time I’m pissed because so many people in Miami will KILL for this kind of opportunity.
Funny thing is that because DG made the formula, and Shaw violated the contract, they can probably just keep selling it (with different branding) and just not pay her.
I hope Meatcanyon uses this as a basis for a video, plus with her becoming more pink in appearance, it's almost like a resemblance of her product consuming her and her life.

That post just broke me. 😂😂😂
A company with a 10% refund-rate is almost *always* fraudulent; it’s sky-high.
You probably watch people at the park with more care than her with her money lol

Exactly what I thought. What’s so creative about making sauce pink..? What am I missing?
We have a "pink sauce" here in Denmark aswell, but it's for icecream and is more or less just runny whipped cream with alot of other sweet ingredients. We don't call it pink sauce though, we call it 'Guf'.
Not defending her but her pink sauce has nothing to do with salsa rosada… soap companies come out every day and aren’t doing anything “new”… they’re just trying to market themselves differently
the difference is that Columbias pink sauce is actually edible
I don’t think it’s about the sauce just being pink I think it’s about the sauce being such a repulsingly bright pink and looking like something no living organism should ever consume that made it so popular. And the controversy over it being unsafe for human consumption only boosted its popularity even further
If Dave's had to change the sauce so it was dairy free, doesn't that mean it wasn't vegan? 😂
She only used milk from vegan cows.
It wasn't even legal, let alone vegan before they got hold of it.
Yup, although i have seen product, side by side a vegan and a 'non-vegan' version of stuff that is vegan by default (pesto) and ofcourse the vegan branded one was more expensive for identical ingredients (same factory evrn so probanly only the labeling machine is seperate). After the big controversy and her signing with DG, I never saw anything about this sauce again until this new controversy between her and DG came up. If that was me I’d have been posting videos with recipes and anything else I could think of to try and promote this stuff. Daves went well above and beyond standard practices here
-Covered refunds up to 30K from her disastrous launch product (This alone is huge, imagine the lawsuits she would have faced)
-Handled all manufacturing and production
-Brought product to shelf in major retailers
-Provided a 40K loan for her stability, no interest rate no fees
-Extended 10K loan with first royalty payment
-Offered to pay legal fees for financial assessment
-Did not enforce contractual agreements
-Did not pursue legal action for fraudulent activity
-Legitimately cared about her well being
-Paved the road for success

Do you know what the most ridiculous thing about her is? In an interview she said that she wanted her kids to start getting jobs and pay rent. The fact that we already don’t believe that she has kids but then she says that they should also pitch in is really sad
My wife got some on clearance at wal-mart for $1. I had a seizure last month and almost died. I almost broke the seal, the thought crossed my mind, in my celebration of life. I kept it for the meme, but I have been eating Dave's insanity gourmet hot sauce for 20 years. She did them dirty, in pink.
Good health to you sir
At my local Walmart, they still have pink sauce but it’s just standing there in the corner and no one seems to buy it.
Those videos of nasty expired sauce sabotaged any hope of this taking off. Those Pink Sauces aren't going anywhere, people don't want food poisoning, even if they fixed the issue
Heinz: Oh sure you people will eat questionable mystery pink sauce, but when we made Green Purple and Blue ketchup you called it an abomination.
ALL SHE HAD TO DO WAS RENT AND MARKET THE PRODUCT!! LITERALLY!
Dave’s Gourmet was going to handle EVERYTHING ELSE!!
$120K advance is ENOUGH to rent where she’s from in Miami in a decent apartment meanwhile she does marketing and make huge returns for DG
Within 1-2 years she would’ve been swimming in cash possibly hiring or creating a small marketing team and she won’t have to do NOTHING maybe even get BOUGHT OUT by DG themselves after some time
I’m pissed because so many people in Miami will KILL for this kind of opportunity.
Imagine receiving thousands when you deserve to receive a lawsuit for botulism, then you get angry and say you deserve even more money.
Funny thing is that because DG made the formula, and Shaw violated the contract, they can probably just keep selling it (with different branding) and just not pay her.
What you mean bro the original formula wasn't even copyrighted 🤣
Ever since she told that woman she wasn’t special; I was just hoping karma would get her, and it’s getting her good rn😂
I just feel bad for the rep at DG for having to greenlight this in hopes of turning PS into a thing.
Never thought I'd feel bad for a company for getting screwed by some entitled prick. Usually it's the other way around.
I hope Meatcanyon uses this as a basis for a video, plus with her becoming more pink in appearance,
it's almost like a resemblance of her product consuming her and her life.
Dave's Gormet is going to come out of this whole thing with an absolutely angelic public image
All I want for Christmas is the Muta skin care line.
Mutragena
Oh crap, you know it’s serious when Muta is talking about this Dumpster Fire
SQF means the people have to wear hair and beard nets in the production areas regardless if a person is working on the machines or not, even just to walk around. Means they're legit pretty much.... or should be.
This is why you dont help toxic people. You educate them why they are trash humans & then let them sort it out.
I'm so glad my parents and I aren't the only ones that calls Wal-Mart Walleyworld. National Lampoon's vacation was an amazing movie
