  • This is my video for replacing my 2006 Nissan Xterra clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder. This should apply to any 2nd generation Nissan Xterra and Frontier. I hope you find it helpful.
On 12:40, I forgot to mention in the video, but I loosened up the metal insert before removing the mount bolts for the clutch master cylinder. Also I had to replace a defective slave cylinder which I already replaced about 6 months ago.

Brake fluid is not a good thing to use as penetrating oil. Penetrating oil displaces water, brake fluid absorbs it. If anything it will end up doing the opposite of what you want it to do.

Hey Sergii can you please mention about the Motive power bleeder you use if it was a direct fit to the master cylinder or you had to buy an adapter ? Thank you for your prompt response .. Ivan

Hello Ivan, the motive bleeder came with variation of adaptors and luckily one of them fit my car. It's needed little of practice to put it in air tight way but after two three time it's getting better.

Good luck with your project. There one cooper washer on flexible hose connected to slavge cylinder.

Is there any way to push the fork back? I removed the slave and the original slave won't even go back in place. Bolt holes won't line up and is too tight of space.

Sorry, it's never happened to me, I can't give you any advice.

@@sergiikvasnyi188 That's ok Sergii, I finally got the new slave to go in after finding a slightly shorter pin and sqeezing it in there. But now after replacing the slave it is not even able to go into gear. So I have new problem. Do you think it is a faulty new slave or do you think the clutch is bad? Can driving on a failing slave wear out the clutch? I hope that is not what happened 😕.

@@markfelix8737 With faulty slave cylinder, the clutch disc will wear out faster. What was the original problem that make you replace slave cylinder? Do you still have original part?

@@markfelix8737 Maybe main problem with the clutch fork, can you manually push it? Is it returns after to original position?

@@sergiikvasnyi188 I took off the slave and re-examined it and put it back on and it will barely move in 1st gear and can not go up an incline. I ordered slave and master off Amazon and they say it fits but only master fit. So I just replaced outer boot on old slave and it drove fine for a few weeks. But now I think it killed my clutch. It's pretty much Amazon's fault.

One important question is do you know JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR?
