Trolls 3 was pretty good, at least a 7/10. 8, if I go solely on the fun factor. 2023 was a good year for animation. Glad to see you're back making videos.

Short review of the Boy and the Heron since I've seen it:
The visuals are stunning as expected from a Miyazaki film. The overall story was written well, but I wasn't as invested in the world building as I was in other Miyazaki works. The pacing could be better, but it doesn't detract from the movie too much. The character designs are peak (especially the Heron, I'm pretty sure that's a sleeper pick?)
Overall, I'd give it an 8/10
I love Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken because it was a new idea (executed poorly) made by Dreamworks. They shot their shot and came short, I hope they never stop trying with new concepts
I would recommend Robot Dreams. An AMAZING animated movie from 2023

The only movie from Disney I’ve watched since lockdowns ended was Strange World, and that was absolute gold because there wasn’t a musical number in sight after the opening credits (FUN FACT: Hearing “Let It Go”one too many times made me swear off any modern disney movies with more than a single original song in them).
2023 animated movies rated:
The Super Mario Bros Movie: 10/10 obviously! This movie is peak cinema at its finest!
Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse: 10/10 it’s almost perfect but the ending makes me wish we get part 2 sooner.
Elemental: 10/10 I don’t care I really thought the romance was cute and I was invested in the story.
Nimona: 9/10 This movie is great despite the animation kinda looking like a videogame.
Ruby Gillman: 9/10 I thought this movie was really underrated. I didn’t think it deserved the hate even if it was a bit similar to Luca, Turning Red and The Little Mermaid.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 9/10 I wish I would give this movie a 10/10 but the pacing was a little bit too fast and I wish Superfly had more backstory and he was probably my favorite character.
Trolls 3: Band Together: 10/10 Okay I’m gonna say this I thought this movie was surprisingly good! I was kinda excited for this movie not gonna lie but I was also a bit nervous because of some mixed reviews but this was actually unironically peak! DreamWorks did it once again!
Migration: 8/10 it’s fun. Not as good as The Super Mario Bros Movie or even Sing 2 or Minions The Rise Of Gru but it was cute and I kinda liked the story about the family.
Chicken Run: 8/10 I haven’t seen the first movie in a while but I thought this movie was pretty good actually.
Wish: 10/10 I think this is the most overhated Disney animated movie of the 2020’s.
Leo: 8/10 I didn’t expect this movie to be that good before watching it but it was actually pretty fun movie.
Wow. Record time for this. Honestly 2023 was a wonderful year. I gotta say that the Mario Movie and Across the Spiderverse were a highlight of the year

One you missed: under the boardwalk. The movie paramount shoved onto streaming after a few days at fifty theaters despite clearly having a sizable amount of money poured in. At the very least, listen to some of the songs. Welcome to New Jersey and Line in the Sand are certified bangers.

Opinions on movies I’ve watched
Spiderverse 2: 10/10, amazing, great animation, can’t wait for 3
Ninja turtles: 8.7/10 loved it, an overall fun time
Nimona: love the characters so much, great message
Miraculous movie: 7.6/10 the dialogue was very cringe at times, eg: “I’ve been saving the city but your the girl who saved my heart”, don’t know why it was a musical (I myself am a musical fan but I think a musical really doesn’t work for this show) The animation was great especially towards the end, fun watch, but the ending is underwhelming for someone who hasn’t watched the show
Elemental: 8/10, doesn’t deserve the hate, the plot of sentient elements is somewhat uninspired, but the movie was cute and fine for what it is
Mario movie: 7.8/10 pacing is kinda slow, animation is great, love the Mario and Luigi backstory, gets kinda boring at times,

Trolls band together is pretty good, when they have music they have mashup versions of different songs or orginal songs (they even had a Weezer song) they also have a lot of adult jokes in this (BUT NO JAMES CORDEN LIKE TROLLS WORLD TOUR!!!)

In 2015 we got the peanuts movie which im not ashamed to say is some how my actual favorite movie ever. But everyone who watched it probably loved it, may included. Then they gave us spys in disguise, which was a pretty decent movie. How does this help my argument? To everyone whos seen spies, would you say its better than teenage kraken,wish, and migration? Exactly. And finally Nimoana which i think we can all say everybody liked. There you go, blue sky would somehow be winning (besides sony i guess) if they still existed 🆒
The movies in 2023 were every good, they could of done the mario movie better. Spider verse was underratted, and wish and elemental are just there, they dont exist😂

i saw chicken run: dawn of the nugget and its fantastic!!! a 12/10 in my opinion, cohesive story, charming stopmotion animation and a some funny moments too. i also find the main character molly very likeable

Tbh, I would rank Trolls 3 a 9/10. I thought the film was gonna be bad since imo, most of the Trolls movies were pretty bad, but when I saw the film, I ended up liking it. It was better than I expected. The songs were great, the antagonists were great, the animation was great, the characters were great, the jokes were funny but pretty surprising for a Trolls film, overall, most of the stuff about the film was good.

The songs in Trolls 3 are a good step in the right direction but I feel like the pacing of the songs is kind of weird there will be like 3 songs with 2-5 minute pauses then after 30 minutes another song plays
