I've tried the McCarthy Special twice. I've crashed out on the final interval set one time and sort of made it all the way through, but only by cutting the Zone 5 (final) section of each interval from 3 mins down to 2 mins. It's very hard.
Hey Adam! Have you come across the upcoming indieVelo Grand Tour event later next month? It’s a 5 day team stage race with 6 stages - GC, mountain, and sprint jerseys are all to fight for! Would you consider trying it out? Could make for some really fun YT content!
@@AdamRussellCycling awesome! It is Sept 25-29, but you don’t have to race all 5 days! Join what you can - especially if you join a team before the event! The stages you do wind up racing you can help your teammates accomplish their goals in a domestique role 🙌🏻
@@AdamRussellCycling okay. i would try adding some moisture onto the sensors before you put it on. water or some saliva will do the trick. most chest straps need some moisture to get a proper reading (at least from my experience).
Impressive efforts, they're all super hard workouts on the trainer!
Yeah definitely the hardest I've worked on zwift!

I think you need to be on a really good day to get through it. Maybe one day!
I say the first one had unexpectedly low heartrate for a 110% FTP efforts 🤨
My heart rate monitor does seem to have a will of its own sometimes, and decides to work only when it chooses to

Sounds cool! If it's not 5 specific days it could work, but work/family can sometimes scupper multi-day commitments.
I'll look into it!

Something definitely wrong with the HR readings. All over the place
Any idea how to troubleshoot it?
@@AdamRussellCycling what HRM are you using? if it's wrist-based from your watch, I've for that it is almost consistently wrong during workouts.
@@ayEtionroids it's a wahoo tickr chest strap

I used to have a tickr it’s notorious for being inaccurate. I now have a polar H10 which is much more accurate.
