Great video! The first time on ADZ is always epic! I recorded my last PB on YT but not the very first time :D Little tip. You should change distance to km instead of miles. XP are gained every KM and Mile, but KM are shorter 👍 I just subscribed. Ride on!
This popped up on my feed and I watched and subscribed because of the Newcastle top lol. I'm low B/Amethyst and there are loads of Geordies on our team...and a few Sunderland supporters. I'm sure some of the foreign guys have no idea what we're saying on audio during group races 🤣My best tactic up the Alp is to find a power I can keep even for the duration. When I first started doing it the first few segments would be at 250w and by segment 10 they were going down fast. I know if I go above 220 early on, even though I feel good, I won't be able to maintain it so I'm fixated on that constant 220 number and keeping it even. Cheers for sharing
Nice time Adam 👍 My best is 93 mins! All I remember about doing it was how hard it was. Only done it since when doing workouts, best time is 84 minutes. Maybe one day I'll try it again since I much stronger now than I was at my first attempt.
Adam, have you selected the Everest challenge in challenges so you can aim at getting the Tron bike? Nice ride, I can only dream of getting close to your time!!
Hi Adam - your cadence was very high for climb route, prehaps aim for 80 cadence, looked like you with spinning and getting no where. Use a heart rate monitor will also help monitor your effort.
Hmm... Possibly. I have had a professional bike fit on this bike but that was for road riding and over 4 years ago. No harm in trying dropping it a touch though
Haha, I was of the same opinion until I started doing longer rides. After 5 hours plus the further I went the more aches and pains I got and I sidelined myself for a while with an IT band issue

Thanks for the sub!
That's a good tip for XP but I've lived my entire life with miles the change will no doubt confuse me too much 😅

That's good advice! Future attempts I'll pay more attention to my power for sure!

Yep, Jersey made me watch too, Howay the lads!
Nice time Adam 👍

Thanks! I'm pleased with my time, but will definitely again when I'm a bit stronger. I reckon you can beat your time too 💪🏻
Good to see that you still using your old bike for Zwift bro! :-)
But I hate Indoor! haha
I was surprised how much I like it, but outdoor is of course better!

Yep, Everest challenge is ongoing!
You are ready for a Everesting, that is nine times up ADZ in one ride. :)
I'd probably get gloves nine times 😅

I'll factor this in for future climbs 💪🏻
I think the saddle might be a little high which causes the bouncing.

@@AdamRussellCycling I've always been of the opinion that the best bike fitter is yourself but that might just be my inherent antisocial tendencies.

I dont think that dog wants you to be on zwift 🤔🤣
Navi thinks that any time I'm not playing with her is time I'm wasting 🤣
46minutes i did with 265watts.
Wow, don't know if I'll ever be that fast
