Thanks for sharing a song that doesn’t get reacted to very much. Dan’s signature energy and theatricality is on full display here. I think the pitch issue is just a matter of which song he’s singing. He did the lowest song he’s ever recorded 6 years ago - The Rains of Castamere. (It’s really down in bass territory, and not his range at all, but he probably did it because he liked the show - and to show that he could. He reaches down for those lowest notes VERY carefully.) I’ve never been a big fan of Manowar, but if Dan is singing their songs, I’m there. Edited to add a suggestion: Reach out for the Light, a duet with Rob Lundgren. Two sensational metal voices, singing harmony.
I can't take any credit for this gem. This was all my patron's doing! Dan has an enormous range but seeing how he's a little younger here I thought maybe he was more comfortable at a higher pitch. Yeah, I wasn't a really big fan either. At the time of their heyday I was more into crossover metal like Agnostic Front and Cro-Mags so I never went down the Manowar path. Listening to Dan has re-kindled my appreciation of Manowar and Dan makes it extra special! Thanks for that recommendation, my friend! More Dan on it's way!

I don't listen to Manowar that often anymore, but I've been to a show last year... The first time after 30 years. I was really afraid to be disappointed, because I had such great memories to my first 2 Manowar shows. But they were awesome. I'd go again anytime!

I am sorry, no disrespect, but I am really "amazed" how Dan or Nanowar or Sabaton or Fireschwants (sorry, cant remember their spelling) are so f.... ing amazing and wow and wow and wow.
But somehow most people forget that these songs are fucking MANOWAR with Eric singing who is (again, no disrespect) different league than Dan or very low high in his cover Sabaton etc...
Everyone is complaining about Manowar but somehow it seems their songs rocks, but no one wants to see it
