looks great even after you show all the problems it gave you. great work i really like it. shows your skills to make a hard kit like that look that good have a good one
Morning Bryan, despite all of the issue U mentioned with the kit, it’s still a stunner!!!!!!!! Great color choices for that kit, you did a phenomenal job my friend!!!!
I’m lucky to have seen it in person. It’s beautiful Bryan! Nice work! I really like the way it turned out. I see more big scale kits in your future bud ;)
Excellent color choice. Besides the excellent detail work, I am really impressed with the colors of the components of the engine bay. The mix of the semi gloss black in the correct areas and the silver colors of the fuelie unit. Nice work!
Thank you Michael!! That means a lot! I think it's awesome that you were a little worried about the body color but it changed your mind in the end! That really makes me feel like i did it right!!
Thanks my friend!! I like to think that i Ii ever did another one again, I would know what to look out for.....but who are we kidding, this one is it for me lol.
Thanks my friend!! I knew it would be in the best interests of the kit to take my time. PapaDan even told me to take my time since it was looking so good.
Absolutely fantastic my friend. Your pictures you’ve sent me along to long journey did not do it justice. The extra detail you put into this build put it over the top. Great job buddy. What do you want to build next? Keep having fun buddy. Papadan.
Thank you so much Dan!! That really means the world to me. Build next? How about a Bandai submarine.....oh wait! 😉 We'll need to confer about it. See what we both have in the stash.
Great update Bryan I think it turned out fantastic realy like the colours. Between you and Papa Dan you have realy put the fear of this kit in me (I have the exact same kit in my stash) and it may stay there for a while.. Thanks for the Intel....KA
Great looking car Bryan. Mine has held up pretty good after 10 years had the front hood chrome fall out recently. I used orange tube glue to put mine together. Glad you guys got them done. Beautiful color. I may build another one of these have 2 more in the stash. Thanks for sharing Bryan. Have a great day and stay safe.
What an awesome looking build Bryan issues aside incredible job . the details really make a difference and the color combo is spot on! By the way I am putting in a report for little BG for not wearing his mask 😷🤪
Excellent work, sir! The kit looks great. Big fan of that engine bay detail. The '57 Chevy is one of my favorite cars. I've got to get in on one of these buddy builds! All these videos are giving me wild #FOMO
A great build with a gorgeous color combination. One minor thing. 57 Chevys with V-8's whether 265 or 283 had the "mesh" area of the grill done in gold and not silver. Also, the "V" Chevron on the hood and trunk as well as the Bel-Air on the quarter panel was also gold. Oh, also the 3 little "scallop things" on the front fenders were also gold. It is a very subtle gold with a semi-gloss sheen and it is not very shiny. A gold grill would have really popped on this color combo, though. I am fortunate enough to be able to go out to my garage and check out my 1:1 scale '57 Bel-Air 2 dr sedan, 265 cid 2bbl 3 speed with overdrive, Surf green over Highland green, light green vinyl, dark green w/pattern interior as a reference. Some may question the 265 cid engine but when we researched the car, we (dad and I) found the early 57 Bel-airs that were built at the Kansas City plant with 3-speed stick transmission had 265's as the standard engine. Apparently, Chevrolet had some 265's leftover from the 1956 production run so the early '57's had 265s unless the 283 was specifically ordered. Love Tri-5's. but this build that you guys did is just AWESOME!! Love it!!
Job well done 👏👏👏👏 With this build, looks like you've outdone yourself. Perfect color combination. Well built. Oh and was that little BG that made a cameo? Couldn't tell cause that 57 is a monster. Keep up the great builds. On to the next build.. 😃👍
It looks great! Funny you mentioned the epoxy. I glued the huge pieces together with silicone caulk! And my kit also had lousy chrome so I actually ordered a 90's issue Revell Germany of it and used the chrome from that kit. That's why my chrome looks good. Also used aluminum HVAC tape for chrome foil. And my rear bumper was also flared out. Still is! Great kit though and you did a great job on it. :)
Thank you!! Was the Revell Germany version any better at all? I really felt I needed to strip the rear bumper, cut it up and glue it back together again with better angles.......but the project was in danger of running for ever by that point!! 😊
@@BGsModelWorkshop Oh yes, the Revell of Germany kit had perfect chrome and it was molded in white. And everything was well molded. I think that sometimes warping and such is caused by the production line going too fast. I think back in the 80's they often had production turned up to 11 and the parts were still very hot when they popped out of the molds. Throw a hot parts tree in a box at the wrong angle and there's your warp.
@@BGsModelWorkshop Well the thick metal molds certainly aren't warped. It happens after it comes out, and the only way to do it is with heat. Considering it takes more than 400 degrees F to melt styrene, the warping sure isn't happening in a warehouse or shipping container. It is the manufacturer's fault specifically quality control.
Looks amazing, especially under the hood. Working in such a big scale is not for me, especially with the display issues you are finding. 😂 Glad you were able to overcome the hurdles and the end results are totally worth it.
A nice looking model Bryan. Cream roof goes well with that beautiful body color. It's a shame that fit issues spoiled the fun of the build. I guess that's just modeling though. Cheers buddy.
omg i have the 55 chevy original print mpc i think dealer only 1/12 ment for displays sealed parts in tacked box well shes 66 yrs old so the plastic may be brittle but yours best offer i got so many cars i wanna dou just really never had inspiration for it being the sweet girl she is can send pics like i said best offer try me scooter d thanks
I think she's probably the best looking 57 Chebby I've ever seen Bryan!! The paint and engine details are absolutely amazing!
Great build!! I'm always amazed after I dry fit every part, the problem becomes very apparent during final attachment time!!!
Thank you Johnny.......RIGHT?! What's that all about? Did something shift in the spacetime continuum?
That turned out fantastic. Love the hose clamp idea and the body color around the edge of the wheels. 👀💖
Thank you so much Ed!! =)
Even with all the problems it came out looking amazing Bryan! The paint, the detail, everything.
Thank you Joe!! She's a monster!! Maybe this one will become my coffee table i been looking for🤔

Morning Bryan, despite all of the issue U mentioned with the kit, it’s still a stunner!!!!!!!! Great color choices for that kit, you did a phenomenal job my friend!!!!
Thanks Chris!!! I really want to use this color on something else now.....but don't know how it will look on a smaller scale build 🤔
I’m lucky to have seen it in person. It’s beautiful Bryan! Nice work! I really like the way it turned out. I see more big scale kits in your future bud ;)
Lol, thanks bud, nah, I'm good for now. 😊
