8600 VIEWS...WTH???? This is criminal, with this guy's talent. And damn, that title....EXCELLENT dude. Really loved this Rick's music from the first time I heard it, and that was MANY many years ago. Just read his Bio, why does it not even REMOTELY surprise me he was studying to be a concert pianist, and quit to become a session musician (always amazingly talented guys). Loved his solo compositions from the 70's, too, very innovative at the time, to my ear.
Well, after all the music that Rick has nicked myself, Weber can be forgiven - like all good bluesmen aways only steal from the best. Juda is the MOST DRAMATIC PIECE OF MUSIC IN THE MULTIUNIVERSE! And perform it live and solo is a miracle not possible in 1977, i think! Oh, no, not solo, a children's choir, cool.
@@DSpeir-pi6tm It's that ascending and descending motif starting at 2:54, which is common to all three. Wakeman's is shorter than Waters' and Webber's. Did they steal from each other? Hell no. The idea is about as musically basic as you can get.
Sometimes Rick Wakeman is all about how musicians inspire each other, and that's a good thing. But when he goes on tour and only plays two of his songs just to make that point, sometimes Rick Wakeman sucks. I'm sorry to say.

this was great but the original with the choir was even better
Anyhow best of Rick.
Roger Waters always claimed those parts in Phantom were taken from Echoes which was written 5 years before Judas Iscariot.
I've had the Echoes album since age 8 . Great album, but there's nothing on it that sounds anything like this .
