No joke, I had two history teachers at my Jr High (middle school), who where both soldiers at some of those nuclier tests. What are the odds that they would end up teaching at the same school, their class rooms were even next door to each other.
not really surprising one of them probably recommended hiring when they saw the other
You go OB Dave. I also quit work to go to school full time and I'm almost done at 32. Civil engineering degree. I should be done in May. Watching y'all has helped me study (actually what I'm doing right now). We got this man.
P.S. Live a few miles away from the test site (Las Vegas). Come and visit!
Starting to finish my degree at 24 again after 4 years off.
Really happy to hear youre enjoying it
Currently doing all the wiring and plumbing on an RV and the level of satisfaction when you see what youve created, and see it operating correctly, is addicting
First man made object in space was German rocket "Aggregat 4" aka V2 in 1942.
There is a fund that was made available called "Downwinders" to compensate people in certain areas of Nevada, Arizona, and Utah due to higher rates of certain cancers in those areas. .
I'm really loving how messy it is, it sells the whole thing lol
After completing mechanics school at Camp Johnson on Camp Lejeune in July of '77, my first unit was a part of the Manhattan Project. I not only was exposed to the toxins at Lejeune but uranium 235, thalium, and whatever byproducts of splitting atoms for nuclear weapons.
Movie star John Wayne was in the desert filming a movie about Genghis Khan ("the worst movie ever made") during one nuclear test. He had cancer problems throughout his life. Coincidence? Hard to say.
If it weren’t for your channel I wouldn’t be aware of the Fat Electrician, more importantly-I wouldn’t be aware of the various subjects he’s covered.
If you were my son- I’d be really proud of your career decision and (jealous) that you found your soulmate in life (now) but I ABSOLUTELY enjoy your solo reaction videos- for what it’s worth.🤷🏻♂️
So more fat electrician! More comedy, please!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Flint Michigan drinking water was fixed back in 2016 I think? either 2016 or 2018.
Yeah, I would be in prison for reckless riding if my wife wasn't keeping me in check. The cops do not scare me. But her disappointment does.
I found where all the uranium went.
Love the fat electrician vids 🤌
Just so you know; $50,000 in 1957 at the time Operation Plumbob took place is the equivilant of $559,030.25 in todays money
I believe that he said they got compensation 30 years after the nuclear testing
To be fair, 50 gs probably went a lot further in 1987 than 2024
I don't know how to make it happen but you and Ash should be on Conan's podcast! Every other one he talks with regular people not famous ones!
Man, I'm just now realizing that I haven't watched Office Blokes in well over a month. I was an everyday viewer once. I'm not even suggested videos by them anymore I guess. It was awesome back well before Dave left. It was already getting generously heavy on redundant fail videos, then when Dave left it just went tits up to me. Just my opinion. I hope they improve and I'll keep checking them periodically I guess.
Glad to have you here!
@@OBDaveReacts Sure, bud. I'll always be here. I know what I'm getting. The other just seemed to shift... without explanation or acknowledgement.
It would be beyond both Voyagers. Someone needs to get the info including time and direction to figure out what star the cover is heading towards a fraction of C as that bast was at and near the speed of light. Sending it lightyears by now.
Unless it hit something and is sitting on Mars
Do you listen to the Russian anti-Putin all female band Pussy Riot?! If not I highly recommend them!
🤘
That manhole cover made it past the moon in less than a second
wow, thats faster than the speed of light which takes 1.3 seconds from the moon. incredible.
now we need how long sound takes and we have a window
