No offence I wouldn’t let a dog get near my baby no matter how trustful our bond is. There’s always a chance the dog doesn’t know how precious that baby is to you and might hurt it and when that happens it’s not the dogs fault it’s ur fault for you to keep the dog alone with the baby

He was licking food off the new born baby s face, where it was probably left as a trick. The dog looks nervous to me! I bet the poor thing gets carried out side instead of being able to walk for exercise! Idiots get small dogs thinking that they need less walking! That's why they are annoying the hell out of anyone, being naughty.
I swear sometimes I feel like we really don’t deserve these beautiful creatures 😢 they show us love no matter what and they include us as part of their pack we think we get them as pets but in reality they look at us as a part of their pack and we are their family even if we mistreat them or have a bad day or whatever the case may be they still love us unconditionally and that is just so beautiful such intelligent creatures and so loving and caring and kind ❤❤❤

It’s not about deserving them, it’s about learning from them to use your hearts&brains and be kind to all kind, and yes, too many still see them as objects or slaves to buy/sell, breed (to put it nicely), call an it and claim to own them… when they’re equal animals to us and family members

Yes indeed. Dog tongues can potentially carry all manner of nasties, bearing in mind that a child doesn't really have an established immune system, able to fight infection, until at least 2 years old.
I'm surprised the dachshund was so gentle and caring with that baby. My baby doxie tried biting my niece when we brought her from the hospital after being born. She was kicking in her car seat and my Charlie took offense to that 🤦♀️😂🐶💖

Dogs and Cats in particular can be extremely sweet to babies and kids as they have strong parental instincts.
Some cats are just nasty and would eye gouge a newborn with their claws. I've seen that before and would not trust a cat near a newborn, F that.

To me, You can tell the pup had the intention of comforting the baby since he seemed to pause and take up space hear the baby’s head after his kisses, as a show of comfort. This is so awesome and heartwarming ❤

This doggy is a sweetheart, and the baby quiets down immediately!
The dog is intelligent too. I picked up on that. It knew not to lick the baby in the face. A baby can get infected by almost ANYTHING at that age. Even from human kisses; But It licked the baby's head. True comforter and companion.

Dogs always understand babies in the pack and will protect them, they know babies are fragile. Family dogs know when someone is pregnant, they smell people's hormonal change and smell the baby as soon as it develops a heartbeat, they actually smell a totally different person inside of you the moment the baby heart starts pumping.
This is just so sweet. When I was pregnant I ended up with a very violent rescue dog. I was the only person she wouldn't attack. She stayed right by my side up until I have birth. When I brought my baby home, she fell in love. She was always giving him gentle kisses and cuddles, but she also decided who got to touch or come near him lol. She was the best dog I've ever had. She slept with me too so anytime he woke up, she'd get up while I fed him, kept me company and tried to help get him back to sleep with her sweet kisses
