Actually, Dave mistake, didn’t justify your disrespectful behavior. You actually used profanity, which was such a horrible way of communicating to your husband. I enjoy the journey that both of you share but I suspect this isn’t the first time, you’ve dissed your husband. You both seem to be good people but don’t take having a good husband for granted.
Actually, I kind of enjoyed seeing y'all fussing at each other. I know your relationship is a solid, very loving and respectful one and having occasional disagreements is part of a healthy relationship. I have been in unhealthy relationships where I was not allowed to disagree with my partner so I appreciate seeing that a couple like you two can have a minor "spat" and still be strong.
One of the secrets of staying married is both being good forgivers. And y’all nailed it in this episode! Good on y’all! Ask me how I know about the two good forgivers. Getting ready to be 45 years worth for us. 😅
My favorite way to check propane levels is to pour hot water over the side of the tank and then feel the temperature. The tank will be warm above the level of propane but cools very quickly when propane is touching the metal of the tank. It is very precise. In my trailer tanks are on the front and it's not a problem to pour hot water on them. With your internal tanks that may not work well with tanks in place.
Hey Tanya! I have a great onion hack for you. I learned how to do this when I was a kid. My grandma taught it to me. If you're dicing or chopping your onions before you do, peel the onion, then slice it in half. Place the onion in cold water with lemon juice. Real lemon juice. Put it in the refrigerator. Prep you other veggies when you're ready to chop or dice the onion. Take it out of the fridge and chop or dice. This will keep you from tearing up and burning eyes. It really works. You can't taste the lemon.
Dave you’re not a rookie by far. Monitors malfunction. Tanya you’re the best in supporting Dave. “ just protecting your family ❤ “. You two are perfect together. 🙏
That’s Manzanita with the red bark. It’s a very hard, long lasting burning wood. From my early Girl Scout camp days, we used to call those hobo packs. I have always loved them and I’m anxious to see how you make them, Miss Wonderful Cook that you are! Love your cooking!
Thank you for letting people know about the toilet paper and leave no trace. I reminded people to just take a little plastic bag and you can get them really cheap at dollar tree and stash a couple in your pockets and then pick up the toilet paper and throw the little baggie away when you get back to camp. Dave does such a great job in doing so much and it’s okay to make a mistake ❤
OK rookies I’ve gotta try this hobos dinner, sounded great when preparing but sounded even better when you were eating. I so love watching you two, you’re so in love and you’re so adventurous, amazing guys. 🥰
All worked out thanks to God. I understand scared and frustrated, but a little bit too much blame on Dave, much given by himself. Love that you come together as a team, why I follow you, that and your transparency, thank you! 😊
Just found your channel! LOVE your honesty and humility. Great editing too! PS - My wife and I just bought a small class C and venturing out (indefinitely) in April! Wish us luck! ❤
It's beautiful this is why we watch you. Cindy 😊 I watched KTLA for hours as the Pacific Palisades were on fire 1,200 acres lost with zero containment 😢of the fire. Now I'm watching you. We also need a break from fires 🔥 in California. So now it's time to watch you.
Living in Michigan my entire life you have to be prepared for all seasons. I'm glad your feeling better Tanya. I had strep throat 2 weeks over Christmas. Keep a foldable shovel on the inside of your camper in case you get a blizzard of snow. Have a healthy and safe a New Year Tanya and Dave.❤🎉 Linda in Michigan
Dave is always doing a great job in making your adventures move smoothly, hes allowed to be human and make mistakes. Be easy on him Tonya. He adores you and goes above and beyond from my vantage point. Love you guys!
Thanks again for another great video Tanya and Dave your hobo dinner looked great hope your tanks and water got done and don't worry about the complainers they got nothing better to do keep bringing the great video much love to you both
Please if you haven’t already, consider wearing bells while hiking. Will aide in the prevention of wildlife attacks. Hope you carry bear bangers or spray. I laugh at your reaction re; the propane. I know some love to winter camp in snow and I’ve camped in a Roadtrek camper van, in 7’C temps and was perfectly fine. If this freaks you out, I would reconsider camper living or…….😉…..be prepared at all times.- having secondary backup system for vital systems You’d die if you lived or camped where I live in Canada during the winter. Another great video! I know what you mean when freaking out about the propane! We just went to the beach for a week at the beginning of December and it was so cold!! 🥶 We made sure the tanks were full and for backup, we had an electric space heater and extra blankets!! I was taking a chances! We had our 2 toy/mini poodles with us too! Got to take care of the babies! Stay warm, Happy Camping and Safe Travels!! ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻😺😺
Wow.. a great SERVING video.. They say we are never upset about the event it is what we think about it. Mistakes happen with the best intentions.... We are all rookies on this road of life. Time to get Healthy in the Mountains..keep those hikes happening. We are stepping up with you both.. TY... it is a Alone Process.. ❤
To check your propane levels without a guage, pour hot water down the outside of the propane bottle. Feel the bottle where you have just poured the water: where the propane is will feel cold, the empty portion of the bottle will feel warm. Sometimes there is even a visible condensation line.
I absolutely love your videos. Hello from California. I've been watching y'all for a long time. I'm a retired truck driver too many problems in the industry..one of my favorites is when y'all when to area 51

It's so beautiful where you guys are. I love the mountains and love hiking. Would love to do something like this, but hubby hates the cold and hates camping. UGH! Dinner looks good.
The Mopeka sonar propane gauges work really well if you keep them dry, change the battery regularly and use the grease between the sensor and the tank. The phone app shows the level in 1% increments, so I don't bother with those low resolution LED displays like that. Moisture will cause them to corrode inside. You need a check list for an RV and those batteries need to be on it along with the smoke alarm, the CO alarm and the five year replacement of the propane alarm. Be safe out there. A scale to weight the tank is the second most accurate method. The weight of an empty tank is stamped on the side.

Thanks, the EKKO does have insulation but if you don’t have your heat on, your pipes can definitely freeze. We actually burst one of our water pipe connectors once due to a surprise early freeze when we didn’t have the heat on in the EKKO.

Everyone has moments like this. We're just in the public eye and we share the ups and downs with y'all. We get over things pretty quickly. We had a great night and stayed warm and cozy. Thank you for watching and virtually enjoying dinner with us. Happy New Year to you as well! TURN IT UP!!!
I also add fresh rosemary and whatever else I have
Thanks so much for sharing your great tip!
That’s Manzanita with the red bark. It’s a very hard, long lasting burning wood.
Thanks Shelby for sharing, very helpful to know! 😀

Great vid 👍
Thanks so much, we really appreciate it! 😀
I thought the Ekko is fully insulated and have tank heaters for those cold winter RVing boondocking. 🤔
Thanks, the EKKO does have insulation but if you don’t have your heat on, your pipes can definitely freeze. We actually burst one of our water pipe connectors once due to a surprise early freeze when we didn’t have the heat on in the EKKO.
How did you get the fire wood? Do you buy it at the camp ground? Bring it with you?
Dave do not beat yourself up over the propane tanks it was an honest mistake. Sometimes 2 pair of eyes are better.
Thanks so much, we really appreciate it! 😀
My husband is big on hobo dinners cooked in aluminium foil in the oven
