- BBC’s Divya Arya follows the journey of two Indian female athletes with visual impairment. They need dedicated guide runners who could match their pace, rhythm, and style. In India, however, awareness of guide running is minimal, with few resources or incentives to train athletes as guides. Their combined experiences highlight the complexities of being women athletes with visual impairments - facing both gender and disability biases - in the male-dominated world of guide running.
