As a detention deputy (county jail) if I feel your safety is at risk in a pod, you’ll never enter it. You can’t say “no, I want to go in that pod”. It’s my job to make sure that each and every inmate and officer is safe.

ive only done county time but out of those who were being shipped out you could tell who was going to be ok and those that were going to have it rough. he’s 100% correct when he says that size doesn’t matter. if you carry yourself correctly, are respectful, don’t complain, stay out of shit, and know when you’re being tested you’ll be ok. if you’re constantly complaining, being loud, not showing any regard for your fellow housemates and puffing your chest out expect to be fighting a lot regardless of size.

My older brother did 2 years prison and was in and out of jail 5 times. He said (and I’m saying it in my words, hard for me to word it his way since it’s rough lol) mostly anybody that steps in jail or prison their first time, it shows in their face. The shock, the wide eyes, it’s easy to pick ‘em out. By the time he went in his 2nd 3rd time he could see the ones that would last and who would break
First time I ever went to jail was for 8 months. No one could tell it was my first time there. I think you can tell with most. But I realized the people with the deer in the headlights look their first time there are usually the guys who pretend to be tough or gang gang in the streets.

I've done 3 bids in Illinois prisons, my last time in i saw a dude that was like 5'4 130 lbs jump on this huge dudes back and stuck his pointer finger into his eye all the way to the knuckle. It was truly horrid

@@YG-ej4gnI didn't see him again after ran to the control bubble holding is face. One of the co's said he lost the eye. He was leaking blood/clear liquid from the top deck to the unit door. The little dude went to his cell, packed his shit and waited for them to come get him.

Just done 16 years and I’m only 35.. been out 4 months and have a full time job and working hard. I’m finally engaged and will be married soon.. I left that life behind
