    Awesome video, the narration and graphic provided a lot of good information to consider for someone like myself who is about to begin my diving journey with a beginner open water class here soon.

    Video was great !!! Music wasn’t overpowered. Would like to see more time on ascent. I look forward to more of your videos . Please include your setup and without giving too much away (because of litigation) how you planned your dive

    How many walleye did you see down there?

    • @bretthalderson-scubalog709

      I've seen small mouth bass in the shallow areas. They like it when we feed them crabs/crayfish. I've never seen walleye at Wazee. There is another fish they stock there but I've only seen a few of them. Thanks for checking out the video.

    How would you bail out to 50% oxygen at 230 depth? Isn't that CNST territory?

    • @bretthalderson-scubalog709
      @bretthalderson-scubalog709  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You are definitely right on the CNS toxicity concern. PO2 would be around 3.9 with 50% at 230'. We're diving with two bailout bottles. The rich gas is 50% and we would use that at 70' deep and shallower. Our lean gas is something like 15/55 (15% O2 and 55% He, you probably know this but I added it for the benefit of someone else who may be reading this). We would bail out on the lean gas at depth and then do a gas switch at 70' to the rich gas to finish our deco. Thanks for the comment and helping clear things up. :-)

    What undergarment do you use

    • @bretthalderson-scubalog709
      @bretthalderson-scubalog709  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm wearing a Bare heavy duty undergarment. On long deep dives I have a Light Monkey heated undergarment that is fantastic. I usually don't need it but when I did, it was helped a lot. I recently started diving with heavy duty 4th Element undergarments for my local dive team. They aren't as bulky and do a great job keeping you warm.

    So basically just a bunch of dark?

    • @bretthalderson-scubalog709
      @bretthalderson-scubalog709  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      :-) Kind of. Flashlights help and sometimes half of the experience is making it through that type of environment and letting people get an idea of what it is like down there. Thanks for watching!

    Was it scary down there?

    • @bretthalderson-scubalog709

      Hey Alexa, Fortunately, the visibility isn't the worst and I was with a dive buddy that I have done a lot of dives with. So, we felt pretty comfortable. It is a little like being in a dark closet. That may make some people feel a little uneasy.

      :-) It's one of the included background music options with Cyberlink Power Director, the editing software I use. Thanks for checking out the video.

    Do you know lake wazee goes to 350 feet

    • @bretthalderson-scubalog709
      @bretthalderson-scubalog709  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, on this dive we were able to see down into a deeper area before we turned around. Unfortunately, we didn't have the right gas blend to go any deeper. Thanks for checking it out.

    Quarry diving...why even bother 😂 😂 😂

      There are a thousand reasons for quarry diving. Practice being the first. You can practice your skills so that when you have the opportunity to ocean dive, you're not "That Guy". The fact that you ask why you even bother... bothers me.

    Music is horrible, were you clubbing baby harbor seals?

    Video was okay, but why does everyone have to add goofy music. Bubbles or silence is better. Narration is cool too.

      No doubt about the music. I'm still trying to feel it out to see if music or no-music is better. Next time I'll go without and see if the 'watch time' is any different. Thanks for the feedback.

    Boring....couldn't see anything. Definitely need to get a better GoPro and could do without the music.
