I’ve heard the same thing but certain food contains melatonin like pistachios so why not supplement then is my conclusion…

If everything is quantized then exogenous melatonin wouldn't have the same signature that your mitochondria make. Now for how the science works behind this, someone with more knowledge needs to evaluate these claims...

Thanks for your input, I’m still debating personally whether it’s a good thing or not. I’m only taking it occasionally, not sure it does much anyways.

Been taking 3mg per night for 10 years due to my overnight work I sleep in the morning. Nowadays, I have time to sleep earlier and amazingly I can still sleep without taking it.

I was told taking Melatonin can confuse & reduce your serotonin levels. Can you tell me why that could be a concern?

What’s amazing when I eat only steak and eggs I don’t have heartburn. If I have potatoes sure enough I’ll come down with heartburn and I’ll be eating tums like chocolate candy. If I do come down with heartburn I’ll put a teaspoon of baking powder in water and that helps me

Try: 1 Tbs of ACV in a glass of Water, instead of Baking Soda. Baking Soda changes the stomach’s PH

Tums are full of aluminum. Read the label! Also, calcium carbonate which is the worst form and oftentimes is high in lead. Yup, the treatments can be worse than the original problems

I think this was postulated about 3 years ago, and could possibly be true……. Funny more recently I am hearing it is now methionine as the master antioxidant. We shall see.

Hi, when ;the sun sets I take melatonin 1 pump = .3 mg (not 3 mg) and if I take more ie 2 pumps, it disturbs my sleep. When I've tried higher doses ie 12 and 15 mg, I wont get any sleep, it's like it turns my clock upside down. I do know people taking extremely high doses for health, cancer autoimmune etc in the number of Xhundreds of mg. What is happening when a person such as myself cannot metabolize melatonin. I was always careful with the brand staying away from excipients etc. I've also tried organic plant based melatonin, but currently I prefer the liquid drop form.
And more to the point, if I miss that tiny dose of .3 mg, I will have more difficulty falling asleep and not sleep as well, so that small amt is having a big effect. Melatonin is in many different parts of our body but I've heard the pineal melatonin is the form that is used for onset sleep, while melatonin derived from other parts of the body can focus on the immune system. Could you clarify please, and also why do I react poorly to higher doses (which are no where near high doses that I've seen with others). Thank you for sharing

same for me, I tried to fix my sleep problem after covid and with 5mg melatonin my sleep get worse. I stopped melatonin and my sleep get miraculously better...
