i pretty much love everything about this song and how you sing it- it also made me think there's probably no one better than you to make marina and the diamond's covers omg
i love this song because its never stated that youre straight so a bi person could sing this saying that they wish god made them only attracted to girls
@@GreenLightMe damm no need to be so hateful. first of all marina is a solo artist not a group, second of all her older stuff does sound similar to this (especially her unreleased tracks)

lmfao i dont need you to say you accept me lol. that should be a social standard. and quite frankly its sad that we live in a world where people need to state that.
This appeared in one of my Spotify daily mixes today and although this style of indie rock often lacks any remarkable lyrical quality to catch my attention, the irony of marginalizing men on a platform in which words were misused was provocative enough to give you a minute of my time. It’s a capable ruse, really, evident of an experienced bickerer. What’s immediately clear is that the song is inspired by experiences with brilliant young men you’d been drawn to, perhaps one in particular, but you were prolifically intellectually outmatched by. And although realistic enough to know you were prolifically incorrect, your nature to contend through these outmatched scenarios were fuelled by the entitlement and self-importance of being raised by celebrities and specifically a mother whose public success greatly outweighs your father’s thereby making it difficult for you to concede. As the dust was still settling in the wake of that final partner’s departure (ie he who likely inspired these lyrics), you sat there dejected trying desperately to manage the identity crisis. You knew you were wrong, but you were also tired of being wrong…. tired of the callousness with which men hadn’t pandered to your fragile ego as you need it within the boundaries of your entitlement complex… so you wrote a song about your feelings to appease yourself. Then you second-guessed releasing it because you know it’s petty… until you played it for your woke peers who echoed the chorus… and you were satiated by the feedback… the comfort of that enveloping approval… that the mean smart boy deprived you of. I deliberately used prolific twice in case a single use of it in proper context went over your head.
And I find this awfully boring But I wouldn't ever say Because God made boys all-knowing And I wish God made me gay And I wish God made me gay Best shot of feminist venom since Bikini Kill.
