"cuz I would’ve stayed kinda drunk and afraid in your room till I died in your room if you asked for it." Like fuuuuuuuccccckkkkkkk, this line broke me
It is an honor to bear witness to such a MASTERPIECE !!!!!!!!! Truly I have never heard songwriting so perfect and cutting. Thank you for your words, they always inspire me so much!!!!
i'm gonna be honest; i found samia through "someone tell the boys" and was introduced to the song "django" after a bad breakup with someone who had a dog named django. both are some of my top played songs of all time. i slept on her new album when it came out because a part of me thought i might get let down by her new music and it couldn't live up to the songs i already love (of course i had listened to the rest of her songs on repeat after finding the first few). i finally listened to this song, and the rest of the album honey last week, and good god. these are the feelings i want music to evoke, i want it to create a dozen stories in my head to make sense of the lyrics, i want to have words punch me in the face until i have to scribble them on every scrap of paper i find, and she just continues to give me that.
3 days ago, I never heard of this artist or any of her music. But, it only took 3 days!!! I'm soooooo helplessly hooked on her now. "Mad at Me" is pretty dammn delicious, too.
This is a beautiful song and video. It's bizarre how hard it hits first time watching. Around 1:06 Its a gut punch... The fish eye distortion, the lean, becomes almost claustrophobic. The intimate juxtaposed with the hyperbolic... the songs a trip. Love it.
this song feels like when i dreamt i screamed at my dad & when i woke up i was still angry with him even though he didn't actually do anything but maybe he did
Hey, I wanted to come see you in sunny ol' Brighton but the train strikes here mean that I can't after all. I think this song is extremely beautiful and I wish I could have seen it in person. It's hard to describe what you do so well, other than being brutally honest... but the combination of great music and the beautiful melodic interpretation in the vocals is what draws me in... the last element with the Great Gatsby-esque dissatisfaction with an upper-class American lifestyle is something I only wish I could relate to... but with music videos like this, it still feels personal, relevant and emotional, in a way. You're one of my favourite music acts right now and I really hope you have that break-out hit!, but even if you don't you've still added so much beauty to the world.
Hi Samia, you truly amaze me, mostly ur live stuff, I'd love to produce an a cappella album for you 1 day (seriously), your live act blows me away, VoiceofanAngel ... Excited for all the Grammys that will 1 day be your's (even though idc abt grammys per se), excited for all your music now and future, your voice is truly something else (and I'm highly picky n don't throw that compliment out).. go Samia go! !!!!!!!!!! ✊☄️
It’s so hard having such good music taste

How do you ballad type people walk around with this drumless. Funless shit all day.
I dont understand how Samia isn't more well known. Her music is perfect 👌

Te amo mucho Samia
I don’t even know what kind of thumbnail magic led me here but I am so glad BTW hi from Colombia 🇨🇴
Her dad is Dan Finnerty of the eponymous Dan Band
Her mom is Kathy Najimy from Hocus Pocus
Samia needs some Ben Folds in her life. "What's been good for the music hasn't always been so good for the life."
can you collab with ethel cain please
yea
Shout out to Lucas Hedges
Holy shit
We really do need more painfully honest pop songs about murder.
