I used the default key bindings for a while… then I just shifted the climb/dash/jump keys up a row (to A, S and D) guess I am very used to right-handed movement from playing Touhou and Trackmania lol

I can wavedash easily and i did it unknowingly before the tutorial and i thought wavedashes were hypers and im superior to every one of you in all aspects

@@catgamer4263 Nah, you always do a full length wavedash in farewell, you never gimp it intentionally, the only thing that you would gimp it for is if you just couldn’t do it with a normal wave dashes horizontal speed, in which case it just takes a bit of practice and muscle memory
Wavedash gives you more height than extended hyper so its more useful in like one scenario. Also literally only need one pixel of block to be done, while extended hyper needs a lot of space so like 3 scenarios. I cheesed most of the wavedash spots in farewell with extended hypers because I’m bad.

One of the first results should be "Where did the sub 30 copypasta come from?", which has the copypasta in it.
There is a text file containing all of the game's dialogue. You can literally just rewrite it, hit save, and then it will be changed. Farewell did change this a bit. There is also a copy of the text file that is an EXPORT file. You just need to delete the EXPORT file and it will default to the regular text file you can rewrite.
Celeste itself isn't really FOR kids. It just doesn't do anything that would make it explicitly NOT for kids. Age ratings are just so draconian that Madeline talking about drinking alcohol a single time is enough to bump it up to E10+, though.

i mean, wavedashes *are* hypers. in both you dash diagonally into the ground and jump before the dash is over to give you a big boost

Fun fact I’m doing the entirety of chapter 9 using extended hypers instead of wavedashes. it looks abnormally slow and it’s kinda funny
there is a room with 2 tile crumbly blocks that is hard to not do the wavedash in. extended hyper is still possible there tho
