I'll admit that I wasn't fully expecting a Death Battle track to be on there myself; it would've been well earned, but arguments could be made against it. It wasn't until he started musing about a Discord song where someone else was the villain where it hit me. I forget if I had liked the video by that point, but I definitely would have after that.
“A talking triangle taking me on (That’s acute) I’m the undisputed lord of chaos there’s no room for you” That’s my favourite part of the song. The first time this death battle was uploaded I was cheering for Discord the whole time, mainly because I like him more than an evil 2 dimensional Dorito.

I remember listening to this song before the battle aired, and feeling shaken and unnerved at what possibilities lay ahead. Almost a year later... yeah. Even after having watched the battle, I'm still afraid.
I just realized that the “Pick a side” lyric could have two meanings: one being for Bill being a triangle and having three sides, or also deciding between good and evil, which could tie into Discord’s tendencies for pure chaos only being mostly stopped by being “tamed” in a sense by Fluttershy, and also when making a deal with Bill, deciding a kind of good and evil or “lesser of two evils” kind of situation!
I'd say it's the second. "Sell your Soul, take control, buy gold" all follows Bill, which is evident as "Can you de"Cipher" the secret meaning?" So logically, "Line by line, Wrong or right, pick a side" would be Discord, especially since that part is followed up by "And spread the "Discord" to those still sleeping!"
This is probably the only Death Battle track where I know all of the lyrics by memory 1:19 - 2:06 Bill’s lyrics are my most favorite part of this track 💯🔥
What a lot of people don't talk about, is that it's not someone singing about them fighting. It's literally bill and discord singing in the song and messing with each other because of their ability to break the forth wall and being aware they exist

I’ve been thinking since Princes of Pride and Hedge of Tomorrow got remastered…are we gonna get to DB music as old as Chorus of Carnage and Mega Mania or are those songs too past their time. I personally loved how both of them came out per their releases along side their fights. Though they’re made a lot more simpler compared to tracks of seasons after theirs’, I can only imagine how much better they can come out with a well deserved tune up. 😊

I’ve been thinking since Princes of Pride and Hedge of Tomorrow got remastered…are we gonna get to DB music as old as Chorus of Carnage and Mega Mania or are those songs too past their time. I personally loved how both of them came out per their releases along side their fights. Though they’re made a lot more simpler compared to tracks of seasons after theirs’, I can only imagine how much better they can come out with a well deserved tune up. 😊
