How I love his voice. It's good to hear it sounding so healthy. Looking forward to his Don Ottavio this fall at the Met.
If I remember correctly, this song was written by Bellini. It is part of the CD/DVD Treasures of Bel Canto. I have been listening to a small selection of all the songs eversince I heard it for the first time. It is so, so beautiful, especially now that I can hear the whole song, not just a snippet. Thank you dear Rolando for this beautiful music.. I truly love your voice Maestro. I honestly try to listen to other tenors, but I think you have spoiled me for them. Maybe its the fact that especially older tenors didn't have the newest equipment like we have now. Maybe I just love you better because you Are better! Thanks again for posting. Much love, Cora xxx

I read a comment in an opera bloopers video that said he wrecked his voice. He sounds good but isn't taking too many risks. His facial expressions are truly bizarre. But he has great beauty of tone, heavenly really.

purtroppo chiamavano matto Bonisolli,il miglior tenore del secolo,ma anche Villanzon altra splendida voce in quanto a follia non e' secondo a nessuno,forse il suo grande amore per la Netrebko lo ha rovinato
you can be passionate but still natural, not showing off this attitude of "I'll cry my heart out". Nowadays singers try hard to sing with their heart, but it should be natural, should come from inside, his body just demonstrates this wrong attitude, like he unwittingly feels his voice is not enough
