Thank you soooooo much for this tutorial! I had my Merch account closed because I did not use it. But they reopened it because I told them I didn't find any instructions on how to use their program. I could have saved myself and them the trouble had I seen this vid first....Lesson learned is to always check You Tiube first!
Great video and very helpful! I just got started on Merch and this was a great quick tutorial on creating shirts. I've been using Adobe Elements so far, but definitely see the case for using Illustrator.
great video- my only complaint was not seeing the left side of screen- also advice to others you can also follow along on the instructions on the template if you have any issues, my image was not showing up transparent but followed the instructions and went through fine.

Jeff, I love your enthusiasm in this video but is it possible to go over the color correcting for Printful? I've watched other videos and it's quite confusing and this is a really crucial step in keeping the graphics looking the same as the finished result. Cheers.

So I really appreciate the information here for t-shirt design with illustrator; however, I'm a bit confused because you spent a lot of time on Amazon merchant and not really much in terms of printful that I can tell. Can you do a video that focuses on setting things up with printful both with their drag & drop as well as uploading? One thing I'm curious about in particular is printful's drag and drop can be somewhat limiting in where you can place images, largely only being able to drop an image in the middle in the front or back of a shirt. So, if one is working on branding, and wanted to place a logo on the front in the top area of the shirt over and just above the heart area, one would have to upload something. What are the best ways of doing this?

I'm curious as to why you used Expand rather that Create Outlines to vectorize the font -- do you know if they are different? I haven't used Expand.

Hey dude, how can I put up a 12 inch wide design? Merch wants designs at 4500 x 5400. That's too big.
make your 12 inch design on a transparent background of 4500x5400. make sure your element is where you want it on the sirt

How do you know if it's in vector format or pixel ( pixel is png right, please correct me) and how do you put it in vector format? I'm just starting and need to start easy so I just want to put a text on a shirt but I haven't figured out anything yet. 50 videos in and I can't even type a letter on illustrator yet, every ones screen(tools in illustrator) are different than mine because I pause videos and can't find what people ate clicking on.
check the version of illustrator you are using. plus typing is done using the type tool which has various options if you hold your key down on the little arrow under the symbol. same for other tools which may hidden under the symbols

Photoshop much better for distressing artwork. TIP: Design your design full size then you don’t have the issue of degradation when scaling.

I was following along on 2 laptops, your vidie and one open on illustrator. At 7:40 you went to object and I did also but my "ungroup" is not "lit up" so I can click it.I somehow put the whale into 4 pieces in the "layers section" but I could not group/grab all 3 spouts together, only individually, and thats where they stayed. Could not do anything else after that point. These videos, you all start out speaking English and then you all start speaking Chinese. Every one puts out these tutorials and acts like we(I) know what every thing means. I don't, it's all Chinese I here. I can't find ANYTHING for somebody like me that starts at "step one, turn on your pc". It seems like all these tutorials are for people who KNOW what EVERY word spoken means AND what every single "button/click" will do.What makes it all worse is the screen setups, NOT A SINGLE PERSON HAS WHAT I HAVE, every thing is different. I'm ready to throw this laptop in the trash. This is frustrating and I don't have a clue what to do next to learn SOMETHING. Why is this so easy to every one and I can't type a letter in illustrator, literally.
