This didn’t help me :( I noticed that the driver that I originally got with my laptop works, but every new update since that time has had this problem. Is there any way I can contact NVIDIA and tell them that the new updates have this bug? Or is it my laptop that’s the problem??
Amazing and THANK YOU! For folks who are tech-weary or operate on a "I don't want to break it"-type mentality, then please read this: I noticed my monitor brightness today IMMEDIATELY. My eyes get blurry, and it's impossible to get anything done. But when I went to find the brightness setting, it just wasn't there. It didn't exist! WTF. This was the first video I looked up. I'm using Windows 11, so I followed the first set of instructions at 0:43. Have no fear about uninstalling the driver. Exactly as promised, the system automatically reinstalls a driver. You right click and then hit "uninstall device" and restart the computer (I specifically opted for "restart and update"). After doing this, when I checked the monitor display, the brightness bar was back. The whole process took five minutes.
It worked! Btw, when it gives you the confirm dialog for uninstalling the device, make sure you also click the box that says to uninstall the driver as well, otherwise this won't work.

I had a brightness issue in my Lenovo 2022 Thinkbook 14 . My brightness button wouldn’t work and using the settings brightness scale would not change it at all. I tried to update my graphics but messed it up. I did a system restore to try to fix me messing up my graphics and to fix the brightness issue. From seeing comments I was scared it would take a whole day to restore. Fortunately It restored for about 30 minutes . I plugged in my charger while it was restoring and it didn’t disturpt it. My screen turned black after I plugged in my charger , turns out it just went to sleep mode. Now my brightness works and no documents were affected. Advice: Adjust sleep mode to 2 hours atleast so it doesn’t go to sleep while restoring and you don’t have to keep coming back to move your mouse. This can disturb the restoring mode

i've had 300$ pc's that didn't have the amount of stupid, underwhelming performance issues as this 3,000$ pc i have now, & it legit pisses me off. thank you for the guide. took like 10 videos with solutions that worked for everybody in the comments, but me.
as you've talked about drivers in this video, i'd suggest making a tutorial about iObit Driver Booster. That's a software that helps you easily update drivers.

@@lukijoke is it not normal to be grateful on the internet these days? I spent ages trying to figure out how to fix it, and this video fixed the problem! Of course, I don't think it works for everything, as I think there might be a few causes of the max brightness problem, but this video, in this instance helped save my eyes from my blinding laptop, and I am grateful for that.
For the Geforce Driver Download, whenever I try downloading the newest driver it comes up with a download failed icon and wont let me download it. I've tried restarting my computer multiple times and my computer is up to date with all the newest updates. Any help?

Me too. The only way my brightness changes is when i put the brightness i want then restart the laptop or shut it down.

Now my brightness works and no documents were affected.
Advice: Adjust sleep mode to 2 hours atleast so it doesn’t go to sleep while restoring and you don’t have to keep coming back to move your mouse. This can disturb the restoring mode

The 2nd method worked for me. I updated my Nvidia graphic card using the Nvidia Experience program
you can disable a drive and enable it again if your PC have GPU that from CPU and Real GPU
