I love the BRAKE HOLD feature ! Been driving nothing but manual transmission cars for 45 years now and the BRAKE HOLD is the best addition ever especially in strop and go driving. Wish my past cars would have had it. Would have saved my left leg from some heavy workouts.
On my previous manual vehicles, I just pull up the emergency brake to hold the car. My only issue with Brake Hold is that you need to manually turn it on every time you start the car.
@@moonrockschopshop By the way, I have been keeping an eye on the ITS inventory at A of PP. It's up to 16! Don't think they are selling that well, possibly because they are still towing the MSRP line. They have 9 black ones--that number has been slowly increasing over time, seems to be the least popular color.
I just got a gold one used in California. I just wanted to drive one. Guy decided on orchid interior, so gave mine back. Nice discount from MSRP. How many of these have been sold used? LOVE THIS CAR!!! Edit: plan to keep it long-term, didn't want to support a German car out of warranty just like you. Been there...
Bro!! On your comment on reliability and longevity ..in relation to the M2(BMW). The latest JD Power reliability rankings (2024) have BMW higher than both Honda/Civic. Acura and Honda actually below average!! Times are a changing and Acura/Honda can’t rest on their laurels and previous reputation. The Brand is also apparently struggling with the latest sedan sales according to the latest data. Don’t get me wrong Braah love the car for what it is, but too expensive given how they have crippled the car with interior amenities - for a luxury brand. The M2 is a steal at MRSP given what you get even at $15K more. (Acura 2K for a spoiler snd even more for wheels - come now that is down right greedy). Enjoy your ride!! I was on the list from one ..all the above annoyed bothered me go much. Have a 2018 FK8 - smiles whenever I drives awesome and hear the Type S is even better with more sophistication!! God Bless
Thanks man. Gotta disagree with the bmw comment I don’t care the elitist say, new bmws are still reported to have problems now… but in 10 years let’s recall this convo
All good Bro!! Just going with the stats and facts. To each their own!! Not intending to sound elitist ..Hey have a Civic FK8 not even an Acura!! (poor mans cayman Bro …or should it be smart mans ..the car has Porsche vibes driving wise …obviously not the same luxury build quality or amenities “economy” car after all!! Acura is going after the Germans …have to step up harder …look at Kia/Genesis ..on a roll with styling and performance and coming up but people won’t buy due to brand identity/perception. Nice chatting with you!! Keep up the car love!
@@ozzystable no worries bro I don’t think your being elitist at all, all love. But I can’t agree that bmw has the same reliability and longevity as Honda. Based on the at the very least the fact that they push so much performance out of it from factory. Honda is a bit more subtle so they last longer. But again, we will know in 10 years time for sure
If what you’re saying about JD Power is correct, then why is it so much easier to find an old Acura/Homda on the road than an old BMW? Also, why would Acuras hold their value so much better than any BMW if they were less reliable?
The drivetrain is one of the main reasons I want a DE5/FL5. That K20C motor has been around since 2015 (FK2 CTR) and hasn't had any major issues. As with most Honda motors, if you're good to it, it'll be good to you.

Brake hold is awesome. But don’t shy away from squat days 😉
Dude I workout and drive a manual, I don't get this comment at all but I do live in a relatively flat place

@@Marbind yea I kinda find that annoying too, wish there was a setting for individual mode
Nice, on point as usual. And I will always be grateful for your directing us in SF to Acura of PP.
Thanks for watching, mod videos coming next

#10- These cars are still hard to get a hand on so there’s not many on the streets. That’s a good thing for Type S owners like us!
