Fusion should get an automatic wiring/tubing function, where I can select the start point, the end point, the number of editing points between, the outer diameter, the inner diameter and a choice for curved or angled routing.

Thanks for the mention! We added a link to your video in ours :-)

Nice one. I was wondering why Fusion 360 didn't incorporate a wire command, since it is essential in modeling anything with wires? It would've been awesome.

Wow awesome thanks been waiting years for this tutorial maybe he fusion dev team should make a tool dedicated to making wires and cables sins electronics are used in almost every project now a days.

      You're totally right.

It would be great if there was a built in function for this that also automatically calculated the length of the wire

Thanks a lot, didin't knew i could move the sketch in 3D, CAD is a lot less intuitive then software for art

cant select the include 3d geometry and the point to make coincident

Is this related to a particular instance? I'm wondering if the issue has to do with an external part (although that shouldn't affect it)....or selection filter...or? There's a lot that could be happening. Can you add this to the forum to get some better help?

Rule #1 for a good tutorial: show the end result at the beginning. Good job!

what should we do? if we want to draw cable ribbon, in fusion 360.

So it does't work on Arc? I tried to make a wristband and umm ..cannot move the end of the band

Tried for about an hour doing what you are doing and couldn't get it! 2:08 (control select, projection stuff is hard to understand and see what you are doing)

I cannot get this to work at all. I even reviewed the adafruit video many times. It does not work.

then i try it again from 0 . getting error: error failed to solve. please try revising dimensions or constraints

got problem after i do last steps : insert 3D geometry and next step i use coincident circle moves to line not line.... nothing helps what the problem..???

Have you enabled 3d sketching? Check in the sketch options, but also preferences (www.dropbox.com/s/5twga0i2n4ikfjx/allow%203d%20sketching.png?dl=0)

    • @sashakazunin181

yep that one box - enabled... may be some other problem ? problem in sketch construction? Only working way for me if i connect spline from center to center... then align.
but doing same steps using other objects like in your video (sketch circle on box and another one same object with sketch circle on surface ) circle moves to spline line (it just leave box surface and connect to spline ))) )
anyways Thx for responce. np if i do same from other ways. p,s, i pressed thumbs up for vid. there is no me that 7 dislikes ))

Today(2018-06-14) I updated the Fusion 360 and I found that the include 3D geometry does not work. Do not know I am doing something wrong.

What the fuck? This is not a solution for the design, we need a special tool, but not so complex as in Inventor. The length of the wires must be calculated automatically for BOM.
What if I have hundreds of wires of different lengths and thicknesses? I need to draw splines by hand, like some kind of freak?

  • @useruiiijjjjhhhhh

Fusion suck for complex wire harness. I do your steps, it can work smoothly if only a few wires. But when you do for many wires fusions get lag. Even you separated them into sub Assy. It really worsts

Not a solution for the real world... Maybe if all you did was draw wires this would become easy and intuitive - but not yet.

    • @adskFusion
      @adskFusion  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Agree. We're working on better tools. 3d sketching constraints is key for this sort of thing.

This sucks can surprise only those who do not work professionally, who only play with 3D.
