    These are some excellent ideas! I have boxes and boxes of beads and broken jewelry. I also have boxes and boxes of “bits and bobs” as my dollhouse friends across the pond say. Once I’m done getting all my rooms done in my house, the tiny detail assembly will begin. Thanks for your wonderful ideas! ❤

    • @littlegretchensworkshop7665
      @littlegretchensworkshop7665  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a great idea! I have never done that!!! LOLOLOLL!!! I have a tendency to make ALL or most of my accessories and collect furniture before the project starts. Making tiny accessories is sort of like immediate gratification. To fill a box with tiny treasures and save them for the big unveiling!

    I think the lamps were called hurricane lamps. Originally kerosene was used back in the 1800’s. They are very romantic. I’d like one with peach background and purple flower.

    Every video of yours that I've watched, I've enjoyed.. I love making things from scraps too. I've made pans and books from thin cardboard, furniture from match boxes and other things too.. Once I made a 1/48 scale murphy bed from a small matchbox. I had cut out all these pretty borders and other designs from magazines to decorate it and i used some of that foam stuff from a ring box as the mattress.. that bed was so pretty. It was black, purple and tan..... I wish we had a way to post pictures in the comments. I have a few pieces I know you'd love as much as I do.

    Those turned out exceptional! I know how it is with the rub n buff lol, it starts turning up everywhere. The painted lamps you made remind me of lamps my mother has that belonged to my great-grandmother. She uses them on night stands because the top and bottom sections work independently based on how many times you pull the chain. The top light is softer if you need a night light. I love your trash to treasure videos, they are so inspiring ☺️

    Picked up 6 large divided containers full of random beads and bobbles from the local thrift shop for under $20… I’m using the technique(s) You are showing to make potion, perfume bottles and candle stick holders for My RPG houses. I used some thin 1/4” long white beads for candles… touched the top with My hot glue gun and painted for a flame 🔥 effect.
    Thanks for letting Us see Your work😁

    So much fun,this is my favorite pastime. For candles you can use hallow sucker sticks. I’ve added a twirled dot of hot glue to the top as the flame and the jewelry spacers as the sconce. If you are really wanting them to light up you can add a seed bulb and feed the wire thru the hollow of the sucker stick and then thru the spacer. Dot of hot glue to the bulb painted a light yellow. Battery and you have lite candles.

    • @littlegretchensworkshop7665
      @littlegretchensworkshop7665  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      THANK YOU for the Candle idea! I've used Q-tips but never sucker sticks. Hollow Sucker sticks sounds like a better size than the Q-tips. Plus I've never made one light up either, so i will put that on my list to try! Thanks again
