    Hey!!! To make the pastels pop on darker skin, use a lighter base. People with darker skin sometimes do that for bright looks with eyeshadows and it turns out great!

    She looks awesome-! I will definitely be referencing this video for when I dye my own BJD. I'm thinking that I'm going to have to adjust the time though so I get a slightly lighter brown 🤎

    Im still looking for a BJD for my character I want to create with but this helps a lot! I've seen some dolls that I'd like to use for him but they didn't have any dark skin tones that matched his. Also let anyone darker tomes tend to cost more as well. If I do decide to get one without a darker option I'll do this!

    Pro tip: wash them off immediately after coming from dye to avoid unevenness. Dish soap can also cause unevenness and isn’t really necessary

      Nadin MyLittleDollLife she’s sort of at a standstill. I think I’m going to totally redo her body, I don’t like the possibility at all!

    do you recon this process could work for resin printed BJD too?

    Do I have to take the whole doll apart? Can’t I just dye it

    • @TeenyTinkers
      @TeenyTinkers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the joint overlaps won't get dyed, so when you pose your doll, it would look off I think.

      2 months late but I actually tried it with all purpose dye and it doesnt really do much besides tint it - i tried to dye a white doll wine colored and it turned kind of a tan skin tone

      A whole year late but it's got to be synthetic dye like DyeMore! Regular dye is only formulated to penetrate natural fibers like cotton

    Is this ok for 3D printed resin dolls ?

      should work fine! just watch becuase dye might seep into print lines a bit
