@RED CHUCKS Blunt force has its place, but is meaningless if you miss your target. I love it when folks think that what happens in MMA is a real fight. Real fights have no refs and no rules.
If my Instructor used these boards and bricks when I was a kid it would have boosted my confidence. But no he had to get stuff from Builders Emporium. The real stuff. So it was more like breaking one or two at at a time. We didn't pay for our belts we earned them by blood, sweat, tears, discipline, technique, strength, and will. He did it so that we understood in life it is never always going to go your way. He thought us at times there is loss. But in loss we gain strength. Thank you 9th Degree Grand Master Anthony Rivera. Casa Blanca TAE KWON DO. Over 30 years ago for the impact on my life. That carried me to now 44 years of age.
Fun fact, these guys buy most of this stuff at home Depot or the like, the boards are of course cut so they break with the grain, but those are just regular concrete patio blocks
@@ninetyninerising9482 Yeah, the paver stones are nothing special. I broke several dozen of them just by dropping them in the dirt while doing landscaping work over time.
I'm honestly at a loss for words. Its like watching king of the hill and Steven Segal's worst movie at the same time. Only in america can mockeries like this be born.
Legend has it, Bruce Lee once told Ali’s bodyguard 10th degree black belt “I could hit you four times before you could even hit me once!” That’s Bruce Lee, so above all the rest he made a 10th degree black belt look slow.
These boards are meant to be thin, because of the technics used, that strike couldn't go through thick things because it can't travel much further, but is enough to surprise you, like when someone whip you with a towel, it still hurts despite being a cloth
The champion only had to kick 9 bricks of which 8 had a plastic separator at 00:08:35. He obviously destroyed all 8. While the semi bald guy in blue before him had 10 bricks to kick, of which 9 were separated.
So many obese black belts. They can barely get their leg high enough to kick those breaking blocks, its really kinda sad that it seems black belts are a dime a dozen now.
Yeah, that's why I ended up quitting martial arts. I was a black belt when the bullshit factor finally started to become apparent to me. I knew something wasn't right when I had a black belt yet couldn't fight for shit.
I see a lot of comments posted about lack of good karate techniques. There is NO ONE seriously doing karate anywhere in the world who doesn't strive to perfect their techniques to a higher and better level. I'm sure that includes every one of the people you saw doing these breaks. So, yeah, some of them have less than perfect techniques. So what! Is yours perfect? Mine never was. Some of them used brute strength to make up for less than perfect technique. Brute strength is an awesome asset to have in karate. Most martial artists strive to boost their brute strength to a much as they are capable of. Why knock people whose brute strength has developed faster than their karate techniques? If they used more brute strength to break boards instead of perfect technique at this stage in their karate development, so what? A broken board, by whatever means, is still a broken board. Karate is an ongoing process. One is never finished. The competition is always with yourself to gain greater strength and better technique. To be better today than you were yesterday. Opponents, competitions, board breaking, etc. are merely ways to test yourself to see how far you have come. Those who don't understand what I wrote in this last paragraph completely fail to understand what karate is all about. Three cheers to all contestants in this video! I enjoyed watching all of you compete.
No you do not. Karate comes from country which is Shinto and Buddhist in religion, and even in Japan Karate has nothing to do with their religion. Do you understand?
hyun lee wtf do you mean? You ever seen a real fight where elbows are legal? You want to take a weapon that can crush concrete right to your jaw? Didn't think so, try again.
Actually, the elbow is a devastating weapon in real combat. It's all those flippy dippy cheerleader kicks that will accomplish nothing in a fight besides getting you knocked flat on your ass.
this is not that impressive lots of fat middle aged guys and little kids doing this. must not be that hard. the kicking stuff is impressive but not the ones where they just stand there and elbow it
Sloppy, very sloppy. I'm no expert, but I can tell you the reason all of them had problems was they think jumping provides them with more power. This isn't the case. Other than that, this was an ok video. I'll await the trolls with their wonderful insight.
0:12 That's my old Karate instructor. Good to see he's still going at it👍

The concrete guys are on an entirely different level
very strong guys. but most of them just use blunt force to break..no technique at all.
but it works.... und schau dir mal derzeit gute kämpfer an. Keine gute Technik aber Intuition und Stärke!
I agree
@RED CHUCKS Blunt force has its place, but is meaningless if you miss your target. I love it when folks think that what happens in MMA is a real fight. Real fights have no refs and no rules.
Gary Cleveland lol but MMA guys can still kick the asses of 99% of your average street guy. So who gives a shit if there's a ref or not?
partisan did you mean to @ someone else? I never said anything about body builders.
5:16 he owns the school i go to

@@ninetyninerising9482 Yeah, the paver stones are nothing special. I broke several dozen of them just by dropping them in the dirt while doing landscaping work over time.

Ali never had any 10th degree bodyguard.
They are the best karateka's. And this is a great show, too.

So basically jump in the air slam your forearm into the stack and hope for the best?
J Logan
Not quite. Train so you don’t break the bones in your forearm while putting ALL your power and weight into it the moment of contact.
I might set up a stall at the next one selling steeltoe flip flops ,deep heat and splints and dust masks ??? HAHA😆HAHA I'll make a small fortune LOL
I want to see a no space champion ship
If the boards hit you back, you're doing it wrong.
why u guys not using steel or several block of crystal ice that would be much harder and awesome tbh

The spacers are doing most of the work for these clowns.
I don't understand the chaining and padlocking of the guy's hands at the end. Still impressive though.
It was for show. It was creative breaking division
Lots of strength. No technique.

Breaking boards are a real mess
TEST YOUR MIGHT. 😝
Elbow strike doesn't require martial art skills. Anyone can do it without matial art practice.

Alexander yeah but if your average joe tried to do that with no conditioning he'd be fucked. Sorry boss, but your point is still irrelevant.
Using elbow is not a breaking power. In a real combat, you don’t use elbow.

How does a person get a black belt when they're morbidly obese? You'd figure physical fitness would be a requirement.
I'm doing muay Thai and is the best
Yeah breaking things are not fun they are very very very very

We could have used those piece's of wood to build houses for people....
I don't think those houses would have lasted long...

La tabla no regresa los golpes
no skills what so ever!!
Pilote episode of "breaking dad"
Everyone who came here has zero talent in martial arts besides 2 people, there's no skill in stomping some stone or elbowing a wooden board
Sektants))))
I thought martial arts taught self-control. So why do we see fat black belts and sloppy technique?
Because martial arts has degenerated into a support group for people with low self esteem and has nothing to do with fighting or fitness anymore.
Bunch of girls hitting with there elbows lol.
How is stomping on bricks Karate??? haha.

Why American martial artists have usually very tacky uniforms? Lots of colours, patches and stripes 🤦🏻♂️
I never understand why they scream
Adnan Nawaiseh it helps block the pain for me
It you scare the brick, it will be easier to break.
It is an output of energy.
It adds a tiny but more power
Because it makes hurting your hand to destroy building materials seem badass, lol.
