    If my Instructor used these boards and bricks when I was a kid it would have boosted my confidence. But no he had to get stuff from Builders Emporium. The real stuff. So it was more like breaking one or two at at a time. We didn't pay for our belts we earned them by blood, sweat, tears, discipline, technique, strength, and will. He did it so that we understood in life it is never always going to go your way. He thought us at times there is loss. But in loss we gain strength. Thank you 9th Degree Grand Master Anthony Rivera.

    y haciendo rompimiento con pisotones??..
    parece que la idea es simplemente romper... nada más...

  • @TrehanCreekOutdoors
    @TrehanCreekOutdoors 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I see a lot of comments posted about lack of good karate techniques. There is NO ONE seriously doing karate anywhere in the world who doesn't strive to perfect their techniques to a higher and better level. I'm sure that includes every one of the people you saw doing these breaks. So, yeah, some of them have less than perfect techniques. So what! Is yours perfect? Mine never was.
    Some of them used brute strength to make up for less than perfect technique. Brute strength is an awesome asset to have in karate. Most martial artists strive to boost their brute strength to a much as they are capable of. Why knock people whose brute strength has developed faster than their karate techniques? If they used more brute strength to break boards instead of perfect technique at this stage in their karate development, so what? A broken board, by whatever means, is still a broken board.
    Karate is an ongoing process. One is never finished. The competition is always with yourself to gain greater strength and better technique. To be better today than you were yesterday. Opponents, competitions, board breaking, etc. are merely ways to test yourself to see how far you have come. Those who don't understand what I wrote in this last paragraph completely fail to understand what karate is all about.
    Three cheers to all contestants in this video! I enjoyed watching all of you compete.
