Harvey, once again, I admire your fortitude and ability to hold an interview together. Even in the most inopportune circumstances. Very few can do what you do, without it being an outright train wreck. Sir, you are brilliant.
Thank you so much Queen Peachanda. To receive such high praise from you, whom I admire and respect so deeply, is immensely gratifying, humbling and greatly appreciated. ❤️
That was a fantastic interview,,,I love Adrienne Barbeau and all that she has done. You did a great job , getting into all that she is known for. Well done!!
Ms. Barbeau has achieved so much with a spirit of effortlessness and "can do" spirit. She is a "doer" but can also be a select "talker" in a way that flows with her essence. I think you provided a forum that shows all that, Harvey...leading us back to her body of work, looking forward to more.
I fell in love with her when I was a young guy when she was in Cannonball Run. Such a classy lady ! Very interesting to hear her back story , such a great lady
got the sense she was a bit reluctant at times, but she had so much to talk about with her history of stage, screen and of course Maude (which I loved) - excellent interview, pulling out so much information - thanks
She doesn't know me from chopped liver :), but years ago, I was involved in a large outdoor summer community theater. I helped run the merchandise kiosk booth. I saw her walk past us several times and while I was putting flyers on the audience chairs, I briefly walked past her. I didn't want to bother her -- so I didn't interrupt her (she appeared to be nibbling on something). But our group was talking about how wonderful she looked. With this in mind -- I will now watch the interview.
Just got around to watching this episode tonight. Thank you for this interview, Harvey. Brings back some memories of my younger years, growing up watching ‘Maude.’ The role of “Carol” was a great fit for Adrienne Barbeau. “Maude,” though, was my heroine growing up!
Glad you enjoyed this interview Will. It hasn’t had as many views as we had hoped. We don’t have an advertising budget, so we rely on word of mouth for people to find out about our show. Sigh….
She was so wonderful in SWAMP THING. Such a strong character and the loving relationship between Swamp Thing was authentic, sincere. Gives the absurdity heart and soul.
Another great interview. I am a little like Adrienne in that don't go to the movie or watch a lot of TV. Like a lot of people though , every time one sees her face, you just have to smile from positive memories. If you ever find there is a recording of her playing Judy Garland, be sure to let everyone know.
You definitely keep an interview together, Harvey. Always liked Adrienne although, to be honest, I only knew her from "Maude" and "The Fog." Nevertheless, her incessant laughing throughout each sentence was too annoying and prevented me from watching beyond "Cannonball Run."
Love her... even though I'm gay, I recall thinking she was very pretty & voluptuous... she was great on Maude, opposite Bea Arthur, of all great women!!
So glad you enjoyed this interview. It was a train wreck to film. Trust me on that. When I finally write my memoir, there will be an entire chapter dedicated to this interview.
There seems to be a handful of editing cut-aways, was she difficult? i'm interviewing her in a few days, i've already met her at a convention and it was a positive experience but sometimes the interview can be a different story!.
Yes this interview was heavily edited due to internet connectivity issues and a number of interruptions that occurred at her end. I wish you a happier experience than I had.
@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 Out of all the 65-ish folks I've interviewed, I've had only 3 audio interviews so far. Only because they do not use Zoom and only rely on telephoning and emailing for communication. Adrienne's agent told me: 'One more thing, Adrienne prefers audio-only interviews. Just giving you a heads up because she won't have her video turned on.' Did you have to persuade her? lol
Hmm.. genuinely curious was the 'issue' w/ HER or just technical related issues? Lol Be a bit disappointed if it was w/ Adrienne herself because both here & consistently over the years she comes across as a genuinely lovely, humble, classy woman. + From what I heard/read from my many people who met her at whatever event or place. Will say tho in 'this' specific interview she comes off a bit shaky, *tired.. like she barely slept & maybe slightly disengaged/distracted (aka less 'bubbly' than usual) but still fundamentally quite pleasant? So...ya, curious haha.
A smart interviewer stays away from politics so as to not offend viewers in the audience who have a different point of view. I for instance am pro-life and find both Harvey and Adrienne Barbeau's comments extremely offensive. This is not the first time Harvey has brought up his support of abortion. No doubt he will remove my comments.
I’m sorry you were offended by my comments. Yes, I am pro-choice and support a woman’s right to have an abortion on demand. If that opinion results in the loss of viewers, I can live with that. I can also live with you believing I am not a “smart” interviewer. In this world one can’t please everyone, but one must be true to one’s self.
I don't usually get offended per se. I'd rather just check somebody off my list and not bother but, I was myself taken back by the pro choice comment. As a Catholic and a pro-life person it was quite disturbing. I have never understood the non chalant attitude taken about the ending of a life.

What a great interview steeped with so much Hollywood history in under an hour. WOW!
Thank you so much Shane!

Ummm….all I can say is you are very perceptive. This one was a challenge, to say the least. Glad you enjoyed it.
She had a great role in Swamp Thing amongst other things....
Hope you enjoyed the interview

So true!
I loved her in the movie "the fog".adrienne is the best.great interview
Thank you so much!
She's delightful and you hold the whole interview together beautifully 🎉
Thank you so much. That means the world to me. 🙏❤️

Thanks for the compliment. And trust me…. I get it. When I write my memoir, that interview will get its own chapter.
Her constant laughing was perhaps due to feeling nervous and uncomfortable in the interview. This was no fault of Harvey.
I agree. Believe me, her behaviour was not my fault. I did my best with what I had to work with.

@@harveybrownstoneinterviews8980 did she have a wardrobe malfunction, if u know what I mean!!?! Lol
I love her tatas
I have a feeling you’re not alone
She looks absolutely beautiful still. Gorgeous
She sure does
Hey, Harvey, here's an idea - interview Karen Valentine. She was one of the most popular actresses on tv in the 1970's.
We’ve been trying, believe me. No luck so far. 😢
Shes MIA.
Terrific again, Harvey! Adrienne has always been a great genre staple.
A “great genre staple”. I like that!!
Love her in Creepshow (movie).
She’s great in that film
Wauw...she looks great...!!
A very gorgeous lady, I have loved her forever.
Me too
Her GREASE book has been released, if you both have time to talk again. 😃
We already did a show about that book with Tom Moore, who directed Grease. Please check it out!!

Dang I got her for an interview but it was audio only as she doesnt usually show her face
u got lucky lol
We refuse to have guests on the show who won’t show their faces.

No persuasion was necessary. She saw my interview with her ex-husband (and still good friend) Billy Van Zandt, and wanted very much to do our show.

@maryellengrayberg9146 I understand what you’re saying.
Harvey, you are brilliant... you dont interrupt to talk for no reason just to hear your head roar.
Well I don’t know if that constitutes brilliance, but Iit definitely constitutes politeness
