    Story 1: I always refer to Weird Al as a model example of people who want to choose to be vegan or Christian. This superstar singer knows his choices are his own and only speaks to how his choices affect his own life and nobody else's. For instance, people still ask for his 1989 Twinkie Dog recipe from the UHF movie, and he always says, "you can use a tofu dog, regular hot dog, or whatever you think tastes good." He has also mentioned being Christian as the reason why his songs never contain any explicit lyrics or depict violence, because he likes them to be family friendly. But he never says that everyone should make the same choices he does.

    • @shaunbolton4662
      @shaunbolton4662 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Didn't know that about Weird Al- I already liked him, now I'm really impressed. You're right, this is the way to act- I'm vegetarian and atheist, but I don't mention it unless the subject comes up, and I never try to 'convert' anyone. Those are my choices, I'll explain if anyone asks, but I have no problem with other people's choices. I know a guy who only eats meat- we get along fine and have good conversations. I know some nice people who are Christians- no problem, we don't talk religion (or no religion). But I have zero tolerance for anyone trying to 'bring me back to God' or condemning me for my sexual orientation, whether from religion or homophobia (I'm gay). Let's just let each other be. I gotta go listen to some Weird Al now!

She had the gall to, figuratively, read a laundry list of how she expected the OPs to behave if they were going to live next door to her. I was so glad when OP had the survey done and took back their land from Joe and Rose. I know they were outdone when their attorney told them they had no case. You’re absolutely right. That would be the best place for them, some kind of an elderly housing complex. It doesn’t necessarily need to be assisted living, if they don’t need personal care of some kind or another, but that would also take out their sense of “fun”, complaining about everyone. They moved into a campground, condo, etc., where they allow for fires, people have kids, etc., then they’re mad because they want their life to be a certain way, but isn’t going to happen where they live. They’re going to make enemies in any place they’re going to live that doesn’t meet with their expectations. They probably need a few citations for misuse of police resources. Ultimately, you can’t control what other people do.

    If I had a vegan neighbor, I would tell them a simple truth that would be way too hard for them to really except.
    And that truth is:
    They really are true herbivore in the animal Kingdom.
    There are animals that you would think are strictly vegetarian that will eat other animals if they need to.
    Have been caught on camera, slurping up a snake like a spaghetti noodle.
    And there was a situation I think in Ireland, in which there were flocks of birds that were being found dead, and nobody could figure out what was eating them only to eventually discover it was the herds of sheep in the area doing it.
    And dear have been well documented eating rabbits. The story of Bambi and his friend thumper is the story of a deer keeping close to his emergency food.

    Story 3. I worked for a local government agency and we had to deal with a woman who made this one look like an angel. Never spoke just screamed at everyone and complained about everyone about everything. Neighbors had enough and took a group legal action against her. She moved and a street party was held that went for 2 days. One of the neighbors had already moved some time earlier to escape the abuse she received about the children she cared for. The Day Care was fully approved . The problem lady moved and by chance purchased the house next to the Day Care lady. Every complaint started again .She screamed and threw rocks at the husbands garage because he had the lights on doing something after sunset. She screamed at the kids and hosed the kids with the garden hose because she hated kids. That got the police involved. To stop the cross fence issues our building regulation people unofficially suggested building a 9 foot high fence just inside the actual boundary fence. The height was legal as it was inside the boundary. She went totally nuts because she could not throw or squirt anything over the top. Finally with threats of legal action from several directions she packed up and moved far away. Peace returned to 2 suburbs and we finally closed the very fat file.

    Story 2: Correct me if I'm wrong but if they did take legal action & he was found to be at fault then couldn't a judge order him to pay for the repairs himself? If so then while I understand it's expensive they definitely should've taken legal action.
    Story 3: Honesty it's surprising the couple didn't get arrested for constantly filing false reports, but that aside if they hated everything so much then they should've just moved somewhere else, though judging by their behavior I doubt they would've been satisfied not lording over others with their pettiness and spitefulness.

    We had to install a fence because of the little hoodlums in our neighborhood. They would come up and trash our backyard and everything on our deck. It used to be an open concept for the adjoining properties, to have a kind of shared play space for all of the children. But once they started destroying everyone’s things on their decks, we all put up fences. It’s really sad, because now it doesn’t have the same feeling of being good neighbors. We’re all closed off from each other.

    I grew up on a farm and some guy bought a lot next to us and decided to put in a tornado magnet -- a trailer park. No big deal, except he was "unclear" to the crew clearing the lot and they bulldozed through one of our fences. That field couldn't be used for pasture until the fence was replaced.
    It eventually got replaced, but not before lots of drama. The drama almost went to 11 -- Dad drove a semi and delivered to lots of Detroit area business run by families with Italian names. Some of them had ties, if you know what I mean. Dad was worrying about the fence situation, and one of the connected customers asked what was wrong, and that he could take care of whatever it was. Remember, people, the best thing you can do to counter the harms of the agricultural industry is buy from small, local farmers. Most of the cruelties of the agricultural industry occur on large farms that are multiple dozens of acres long. Not in the backyard of your neighbor with a chicken coop and a few raised plant beds.

    The new owners could get the old owners to press a suit over them since it was the old owners who lost the value. Ask to split the judgement with the old owner for finding out about the property line theft. Then, ask for the crazy neighbors to move away instead of paying your half. Boom!
