Dung Eater was the one who carried me in the pre-nerf Consort Radahn fight. Hated that boss so much I just had to bring out the poop man. Even post-nerf I still think it's not a great boss, but at least it's bearable now with less lag and stable fps.
The one time I feel very justified to just skip a fight. If I had any reason to fight him again, I would absolutely do the assassin's gambit hidden form cheese again too.

I really like Latenna and do think she is one of the few summons that did need an upgrade when you finished her questline. She deserves getting a wolf mount and that really would have pushed her much further. It is so cool she does have that interaction but its pointless. Also want to point out that the DLC bosses take less damage from Destined Death so Tiche is acctually really bad in the DLC. She can still carry the base game and if they weren't so resistant she'd carry the DLC as well.
I dunno, Latenna is at her best when you can take advantage of the fact she actually just sits still where you put her. The other ranged ones all dive into melee and out of whatever nice spot you put them in.

Random funny story about the Horned Warrior. I usually test my new ashes in the gatefront ruins campsite. I ended up killing every soldier there myself and leaving only the knight alive with full hp, then summoned horned warrior (I wasn't expecting much from it since it was a grave glovewort ash). This thing absolutely mulched that knight and it didn't even need a sword. It could casually knock down the Godrick knight with a kick, WHILE THE KNIGHT WAS BLOCKING WITH A GREATSHIELD. It's sword strikes sent the poor guy into orbit. It was dead before it even realized what was going on. Since testing against the Godrick knight went so well, I decided to aggro that one soldier that has the horn, then once the entire campsite was after me, I just let the Horned Warrior loose. It solo'd the entire campsite while I just sat back and watched. Worst part was, this thing had like a dozen Godrick soldiers on it at all times, it ended up wiping the entire campsite clean and still had about 70% of its hp bar remaining. I even put it against that one troll that jumps down once you enter the gate. This thing didn't even so much as flinch when it got stepped on a dozen times by something 5 times its size. Did I mention that this particular save of mine was NG+3? Yeah, pretty much everything in Limgrave has 3x the scaling it would have on a fresh save (which still isn't saying too much since it is Limgrave after all). Basically, summoning this is like summoning a tamed Mahoraga against whoever you don't want to exist anymore. Clears Mimic Tear easily in my eyes, S+ tier summon.
Nah mimic tear is still superior if done right. It can equip anything you have but it does consume. What people miss is this includes items including the flask that tanks one hit. Damage and poor AI which the nerfed is the only thing that holds it back. What people don’t get it is if your build is trash so is your mimic. So I guess it’s a toss up.

Taylew is also extremely proficient at drawing aggro. I'll often summon him and see the boss beeline directly towards him. His projectiles usually draw aggro after a single hit. If you're playing a mage build, try Taylew.
You don't know the true gigachad power of the Horned Warrior until you see him just straight up kick Malenia so hard she flies backwards to the ground and she has no idea what the hell just happened.

I absolutely adore Cleanrot Knight Finlay - She is kind of a Swiss-Army knife that has ranged attacks, a buff that she will recast, decent multi-hit melee attack, some (minour) bleed build-up, AND to top it all off she can inflict scarlet rot on enemies fairly reliably. She also has incredibly awesome lore and is not so strong that she ruins the game for you. Jarwight's AI when it works is kind of insane too, I have seen him throw swarm pots and volcano pot combos to keep stuff in endless stun animation loops, then watch him casually walk into Rykard's lava pool and slowly melt to death without throwing a single pot~

I really love the intro. I love that y'all used Mergo's Lullaby as the music. It's my favorite theme from Bloodborne and in the top 5 for all FromSoftware games for me. The whole end about the Mimic is 100% valid even though I do use it with my main melee build. I don't let it carry the game for me though; we fight together and have saved each other's asses a ton. It's also just squishy enough that it's not guarantee it'll survive a DLC boss or late main game boss. I summoned it for Placidusax and by the end of the attempt on which I won I was without any flask uses and without the Mimic and still damn near died. That was with us both using the Godskin Peeler purely to melt his health bar. I tend to not use consummables or weapon buffs (hold over from DS3 when I ran with the Hollowslayer Greatsword and got used to not being able to buff it), but I'll equip them just so the Mimic can access them. Though it's a toss up if it'll actually use them. I do have a second save with a faith-based character and I've made an oath to myself not to use any spirit summons for boss fights. I'll use them to help clear areas of annoying enemies, but I'm trying not to use them for bosses. I'm only in Liurnia with that build, but I've managed to keep the spirit summon use to a minimum. I feel it's easier for me to avoid spirit summons with using incantations and with having a lot more experience in the game and just knowing where stuff is and all. I do have a fondness for the jellyfish, the wolf trio, the skeletal militiamen, and the rotten stray ashes just from their help when I first started playing Elden Ring originally.

Dung Eater is the best, hands down not even close. Dude can solo almost every boss, shoot probably every boss but I just didnt feel like buffing him for Radahn 😂❤
Just did PCR with Taylew as tank, Ansbach as Dps and me as healer, I dealt zero dmg. easiest run so far. As expexted, the dps almost died several times, but Taylew carried us without a sweat.

I think the jellyfish should go up like 10 points at least because of how it's actually quite useful early game. It can draw agro from rage when you're fighting Margit. Def helped me on my first play through when I was still learning what the buttons did. More than I say for most higher than it
The greatshield soldiers came through pretty clutch for me against Gaius and Romina. Especially with Gaius I felt like I didn’t have any room to breathe. I gave up on my mimic and used those guys and breezed through the fight.
I get that it’s a bit and all, but it’s kind of funny hearing somebody express exasperation at their pretty flowers not choosing to tactically flank the enemy.
Mimic tear can also use items you've equipped without using a charge, like raw meat dumpling which heals 50% (and also poisons but ashes can't be poisoned so free hp lol) It's kinda rng but mimic tear can keep using dumplings for effectively unlimited hp

I vehemently object with Lone Wolves being #62. Seriously, the Gravebird, Fingercreeper, and Avionette Soldiers were higher? They are the goodest boys and deserve a top 10 spot.
The fact that 6 of the top 10 ashes are from the DLC make it look like the real winners of the DLC new tools were the ashes users, specially after see how many armor sets, weapons, incantations and sorceries from the DLC didnt even beat the basegame performance

Just did PCR with Taylew as tank, Ansbach as Dps and me as healer, I dealt zero dmg. easiest run so far. As expexted, the dps almost died several times, but Taylew carried us without a sweat.

I think the jellyfish should go up like 10 points at least because of how it's actually quite useful early game. It can draw agro from rage when you're fighting Margit. Def helped me on my first play through when I was still learning what the buttons did. More than I say for most higher than it

The greatshield soldiers came through pretty clutch for me against Gaius and Romina. Especially with Gaius I felt like I didn’t have any room to breathe. I gave up on my mimic and used those guys and breezed through the fight.
58:05 you forgot to mention how easy it is to keep him in the fight with projected heal, due to his high resistances and low heath.
The whole ending Montage with the Mimic Tear was the most confusing thing in my entire life but I couldn't stop laughing 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭

Mimic tear can also use items you've equipped without using a charge, like raw meat dumpling which heals 50% (and also poisons but ashes can't be poisoned so free hp lol)
It's kinda rng but mimic tear can keep using dumplings for effectively unlimited hp

The fact that 6 of the top 10 ashes are from the DLC make it look like the real winners of the DLC new tools were the ashes users, specially after see how many armor sets, weapons, incantations and sorceries from the DLC didnt even beat the basegame performance
