Tomo, Good clear advice and well shot video, It‘s a pity that our time zones are so far apart from UK / Europe to Oz but welcome to the whatsapp group. Cheers Dave

Nice job,did you us distilled water with antifreeze when refilling?

Thanks for the feedback Paul. Although it is best practice to do so, I did not use distilled water. Anyone reading these comments, please take note it is always best practice to use distilled water in a cooling system to prevent any further internal issues ie electrolysis

Nice one Tomo. Did you notice that the engine temperature was running hotter than normal after you did the radiator upgrade in a previous video? Did this prompt you to do this modification?
    Cheers and thanks mate.

Thanks mate. Nope, the alloy radiator was an upgrade to not only keep it modern with the times, but also because the fan shroud that minis have from factory are a pain in the ass to remove and refit so I retro fitted a better radiator to help with the heat.
I’ve found that after doing the oil cooler, water pump upgrade along with the smaller pulley, the vehicle barely gets above 80° so it definitely helps it keep cool!

the pump is most effective at around 2000rpm so start winding it up to 6-7000rpm and it just thrashes the water and doesnt actually pump very well (more tech term for thrahsing is cavitation)

@@hossackr great info mate, thanks for sharing 👌🏼
Correct, cavitation will cause air within the system and it becomes more of a tumble effect and doesn’t allow pepper cooling effect at high rpm. Unless you’re driving it that hard, best to stick to the lower rpm range.
