I break down the suggested amount of tart cherry juice to give babies 6 months -12 months; how much tart cherry juice to give toddlers 2 years and up. I will conclude the video with suggested dosage for kiddos 6-13 years old.

    I've been using this for about 2 weeks with our "almost 2 year old" (23 months). We are using the 15ml 2x per day as suggested and it has definitely helped him stay asleep through the night. I was skeptical at first and thought maybe it was coincidence or other factors so we skipped a day last week and we suffered the consequences 😅 We dilute both servings, his morning dose with water and apple juice, the evening dose with just water or water and pedialyte if he has been very active. Thank you for the information and good luck to other parents out there 😊

    If it’s to help fall asleep, why would they recommend taking it in the morning as well ?

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question, I believe it may have something to do with building up their melatonin levels. These levels rise over time. Also, the study did not explicitly note why two doses were recommended. But I do know that this will not make you or your kiddo drowsy which is why it is ok do use in the morning as well. Hope this gives you some clarity.
      Thanks for watching.

    Knudsen tart cherry juice is the best. It also has many other health benefits.

      Tons of benefits! Helps lower cholesterol, helps heal muscles, great for athletic endurance, and power for fighting inflammation.

    My son is 4 years old with sleep issues. I am so confused on the ratios. Are you saying 1 oz of tart cherry juice concentrate or 1 oz of tart cherry juice from let’s say, the brand Lakewood organic, tart cherry juice, not from concentrate?

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @shanaDance I refer to the dosage of juice (not from concentrate)- hope that helps.

    Have you heard of any weird sleep side effects from tart cherry juice? My littles have weird dreams if we use melatonin gummies regularly. My concern is that this same thing might occur

    Hi, does your child get to a point where they can sleep without this juice or do you have to do it fir years on end

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For me personally it helped when he was going through sleep transitions. We have gotten to point where we don’t use it religiously. He is older, 3 years old now and I’ve found other ways to help him fall asleep and stay asleep through the night.

    How much water do you put for 1oz?

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A good rule of thumb if using concentrate is: 1 part concentrate to 7 parts water. In this case 1 oz concentrate to 7 oz of water for a total of 8 oz drink. But it really depends on your kiddo’s preference.

    Are the amounts based on the concentrated juice?

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I believe these recommendations are for 100% juice either from concentrate or not. Juice from concentrate different in that is is first dehydrated and then water gets put back in. It could be that some of the nutrients may get lost by the dehydration process but it may not make a big difference in the result.
      To be completely honest, I’ve only used the not from concentrate juice (no added sugar).
      Hope this helps!

      Do we dilute it in water if it is whole juice for 6 months and up?

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would dilute it as long as they are having the correct amount of juice. Example: 5 oz of juice diluted with 2 oz water for a total of 7 oz. Does that make sense?

      Tart cherries have been researched a lot since the first study I mentioned in this video. So is a lot of evidence that Montmorency cherries are the highest in melatonin content. Here is the research article 👍🏽.

    Hi can you elaborate what right before bed means? I’m worried if I give it to my son 30 mins before bed he will be on a juice high.. even if it is no added sugar. Or will it not give this effect? He’s 10 months and I was thinking of giving it Atleast 2 hours before bed and one in the morning. Please let me know how long I should leave between bedtime and the last dose

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would personally give it an hour before bedtime and no sooner than 2 hours before. Let me know how it goes for your little one 🤞🏽.

      @@mightykiddos thanks for getting back so would you do the whole 20ml before bed or would you do half in the morning half an hour before bed?

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would do half in the morning and half in the evening- especially for a 10 month old.

    Every other day?

    • @mightykiddos
      @mightykiddos  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, that should be fine as well. Although the results are best when you are consistent as that is how the research study was done. Also, be sure to get “no added sugar”.
