So it seems like there’s no solution for the roll axis returning to center? No matter how many times I tweak it to stay center; it’s never staying at a 15 or 45 degree angle.
Hello, there. Sorry for the inconvenience. If the gimbal’s roll axis has a non-orthogonal design, successful roll axis balance can be determined by the roll motor: if the left and right weights are the same, the roll motor is deemed balanced. Whether the left and right weights are the same can be determined based on the criteria below: 1) Tilt the roll axis arm to the left and right (approx. 45°), and it can remain still at any angle after you release your grip. 2) Tilt the roll axis arm to the left and right (approx. 45°), and it can fall back to the horizontal position after you release your grip. If any one of the above effects can be reached, the gimbal is deemed balanced and it can be used normally. Would you please check?

Whenever I try to balance the roll axis it always rolls level as if the camera is bottom heavy, I can’t leave it at a 45 degree angle without it rolling to become level. I always do the previous two steps such as balancing the tilt and the camera doesn’t budge so that’s not the problem.

After i balanced the roll axis till it remained leveled, i pushed the camera on the tilt axis a little bit higher till the roll axis remained wherever i put it. Also the tilt axis worked fine after this fine tune. My Setup is a A7S III + 16+35GM + Raven Eye. I hope it will work for you too.
