@@THROTTLEPOWER Yes, I bought the AMT Cobra 3 in 1 kit which was the only one I saw and it's in the video! I think I was just a few feet away from you. I also picked up an old Cox BRM F1 car which was a slot car kit. Bought a Nissan IMSA sports car kit and a 1/48 Oscar fighter plane that was decked out with masks, decals and some other assorted resin goody's like wheels/tires etc. All in all I think I spent 120 bucks or around there. This location was my Union Hall as I work across the street at Rolls Royce.

Awesome swap meet Tim and I sure wish that I lived closer because I'd be at them shows by your side, but I wouldn't walk away from any Johan Mavericks!! But I'm still watching this video and pausing every time I see something!! When you go to these shows look for me any kind of Johan maverick models whether they are parts, builders, or in good shape!!

Greetings from the UK - stopped by for the thumbnail! I bought one of those Kiss vans back in the late 70s - never got passed sticking some felt in the back to simulate carpet. The model disappeared decades ago but I'm sure I kept the decal sheet - hidden in a book somewhere probably!
Anyway, great looking show. I'm not a car modeller per se but the range of kits, resin and accessories looks really interesting. I wonder if you've ever come across a Sha-vette at these shows or perhaps a resin 1955 F series truck? TV movie tie in projects await....!

What was he asking for that Kiss van? That thing was in mint condition, including the box!
He would never tell me, but the guy that came up next to me ended up getting it for 50 bucks. I was pissed because I would have gave 50 bucks for it....... 😬 I would have displayed it in my model room, that guy is reselling it for a LARGE profit.

@@THROTTLEPOWER Yeah Tim, I agree the plastic darkening like that is different, none of the other Johan kits show it; however I've seen it in some old original amt kits circa 60-61. I just attribute it to heat/cool cycles aging the plastic, all the more reason for best storage conditions one can muster.

I really hope younger people get into model cars but there aren't many newer, modern car kits that are "affordable" or attractive in that kids can get into it. Thay could go to these meets/shows and get deals but how well do they relate to the cars/trucks that were produced decades before thet were born? Not to mention they might never be able to afford the 1/1 unless its a basket case that may not even run.
I'm not trying to be negative but I'm curious to hear some other rhoughts on that.
Also, if something regarding model building in America isn't already in the Smithsonian it should be.
