My wife and I live in Westlake Village (part of Thousand Oaks) in Ventura County and its like living in paradise. Crime is almost non-existent, the weather is wonderful, there is no graffiti, no homeless encampments and the streets and other public infrastructure is incredibly well-maintained. It is also a short drive to really nice beaches. The North Ranch section of Westlake Village is Ventura County’s Beverly Hills, with lots of expansive homes on beautifully maintained lots. I have lived here 6 years and have zero complaints.

I live in Bakersfield. All thought in California the regulations aren't as bad as LA areas. My house is big & the traffic isn't bad. In a little over an hour I can get to multiple beaches & mountains. I would never live in LA. To many people & everything costs to much for crappier living. I'd rather just visit. Fresno sucks though. I have friends in LA & more southern. After visiting me they xant believe we gat they can have here. But after I retire I'm out of this horrible state

I live in San Ramon, Contra Costra County. The Bay Area, especially East Bay, is a great place to live, that is if you have money. Everything here so so damn expensive. Houses that would go for $400,000 in Dallas cost $1,500,000 here.

My wife and I live in Westlake Village (part of Thousand Oaks) in Ventura County and its like living in paradise. Crime is almost non-existent, the weather is wonderful, there is no graffiti, no homeless encampments and the streets and other public infrastructure is incredibly well-maintained. It is also a short drive to really nice beaches.
The North Ranch section of Westlake Village is Ventura County’s Beverly Hills, with lots of expansive homes on beautifully maintained lots.
I have lived here 6 years and have zero complaints.

I live in Bakersfield. All thought in California the regulations aren't as bad as LA areas. My house is big & the traffic isn't bad. In a little over an hour I can get to multiple beaches & mountains. I would never live in LA. To many people & everything costs to much for crappier living. I'd rather just visit. Fresno sucks though. I have friends in LA & more southern. After visiting me they xant believe we gat they can have here. But after I retire I'm out of this horrible state

I grew up in alameda county. Pleasanton to be exact. Not all towns in alameda county are good. But the weather is awesome. Cost of living is horrendous.
I live in San Ramon, Contra Costra County. The Bay Area, especially East Bay, is a great place to live, that is if you have money. Everything here so so damn expensive. Houses that would go for $400,000 in Dallas cost $1,500,000 here.
The price of something is what people are willing to pay .... sounds like the Bay must be pretty fuckin awesome for people (mostly intelligent and successful because how's an idiot going to earn $1 million?) to pay those prices

I grew up in Ventura county and visited the mission in San Juan Capistrano in grade school for a project. We built models of whatever mission we chose. My mom and I rode the train there and hung out for the day, then took the train back to L.A. met my Dad at work, had dinner & then went home to build my mission.

Lol and all they'd showed is white people. Who are a minority there. Oakland is one of the worst places in the country. But Alemeda County has other towns like Hayward, that are just smaller versions of Oakland. Ghetto. That's what much of Alemeda County is.
Alameda is so dangerous i lived there in the 90s. Had a guy tell me when i parked at dennys that if i didnt pay him to watch the truck it would be gone when i came out. Lol ya Great place.
Humboldt Redwoods, Ocean, Rivers and Mountains. Yup, fire wood is more important than your bank account. Its truly poverty with a view for must stoners, but they never go back to that city life after living in the woods for a year. They just move further up the mountain and grow better pot.

As a California resident I really enjoyed the video and the photography I don't necessarily agree with the order in the locations listed but what I have a big problem, with even as a white person, is why is everybody white in these videos? California is diverse why don't you depict this?
They left out the homeless tents?
The extreme taxes etc? The high cost of living expenses?
I lived in nearly every state and I choose San Diego California it’s not perfect but it’s miles ahead of any of those other locations for the things I love.
