Nice one.. was great to look at Home… I was born in LA. Moved to Sacramento at 16.. seen it all. Now living for the past 15 years in England U.K.. was a good memory trip you took me on. I get back home every 2-3 years… Cheers 🍻
I live in Southern California for 50 yrs now. Most cities you name are not the best to live in. And your cost is way off for a decent home, not a shack.
Homes in California are far more expensive than the video says. I just sold a home in Carlsbad for $1.5M (a starter home with 3 bedrooms/2 baths 1500 sf) and purchased a similar home in Murrieta is $750k. And Murrieta doesn’t have near the social things to do as I had in Carlsbad.
You are kidding with this list! Places like Fresno and Salinas having incredible high crime rates! Los Angeles and San Francisco are totally overrun with the homeless. Victorville is out in the sticks. You will drive for hours to find work!!! I only agree with San Diego.
I think San Leandro, California is the best town to live in we've been living here since 1950 no crime have 3 restaurants 1 hospital 1 bank close to shopping center 3 doctors to choose from etc .
Only city and it's metro worth paying for in California is Sacramento. With 2.5 million in the area, low cost of living and not far from the ocean, it makes sense and why I moved to the area.
I'm from LA the only time I went to Sacramento was when I was in Folsom prison. Anyway is stuff to do out there as far as nightlife and cool women out there?
@@JF42795 LOL, a lot of people assume Sacramento has nothing because of the stereotype Cow Town given although it's the fourth largest metropolitan in the state just behind San Diego. You cannot have this many people and not have a nightlife and decent choices of people to date. Downtown is where nightlife is at and yes beautiful people live here. Oh, by the way I used to work at Folsom. If you were based there you did something pretty good because you don't stay there for a few months. You probably got what we called fish bags. It's a brown bag with all your medicines we give out when you are discharged. I worked in pharmacy there. I hope you never find your way there again. Take care and happy travels.
I unfortunately live in an unsafe area in Sacramento. I do like T, U, and V Street in Sacramento and the streets that run off T Street. I like southern California the best because the beaches are closer when you don't have a car and rely on public transportation.
I've lived in Southern California for 57 years and my advice is. Please---take a good look at these places before you decide to move to one. Some that made the list could also feature on the "worst places" list.
I would truly say these top 5 and this coming from a born and raised floridian who lived in Cali for a few years and just drove through alot of places and hotels for few days in each 1.carlsbad 2. Laguna Beach 3.carmel by the sea 4.newport Beach 5. San clemente
They use Santa Barbra county stats to describe the cost of living in Santa Barbra itself. That significantly skews the data and makes it seem much cheaper than it really is in Santa Barbra given that over 75% of the residents of the county don’t live in Santa Barbra itself and nearly half don’t live in the Santa Barbra metro area either. The most populated city in the county is Santa Maria which is about an hour north of Santa Barbra. It’s the cheaper city for a lot of people who work in San Luis Obispo county.
This video is out of tune. Fresno, Oakland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Salinas? Are you sure? The towns of Carmel, Santa Cruz, Carmrl Valley, , Pebble Beach and Monterey would be better choices. But these towns are being overrun.
Please which area in California active in Uber? Which area safe cheap to live for family in California? I’m thinking to move from Chicago any advice I appreciate it ?! 🙏🏻 or it’s better to stay in Chicago !?
Before we live in Chula Vista East Lake ,Mira Misa, La Jolla, now in Murrieta small town but full of good inviroment neighbors hood like Temecula winery! Pechanga Resorts And Casino!
I have never, nor probably will ever, step foot in that state because of the earthquakes, wild fires, gangs, El Niño rains, homelessness, high cost of living, etc.
Better check your facts. Average home price in Newport Beach is at least twice the $1.5 million you stated here. Really cast doubt on the credibility of this video.
Where the hell are you from? A house in Santa Barbara for 450 thou? More like 4.5 million. FRESNO CLOVIS AND STOCKTON NICE PLACES??!! Try going there at night.
Clovis is a really nice place to live. Low violent crime, really friendly people and, compared to the rest of California, you get really good bang for your buck when buying a home here.
Clearly this list is based on a statistical analysis with skewed data and being completely oblivious to the realities of some of these places. The authors of this article could not possibly have actually visited Oakland, San Francisco, and Victorville. As for the big cities - LA is great, if you're in Brentwood or Beverly Hills. San Diego is great if you can afford La Jolla or Point Loma. The city of Santa Barbara is totally unaffordable, and Newport Beach? That may be the most expensive city of all! Urban SF? I used to attend regular conferences in SF, but nobody holds them there anymore because nobody is willing to go there! Downtown SF has the most aggressive panhandlers I've ever seen and downtown SF has become a ghost town for business. They've all boarded up and fled. And In 'n Out, California's fast burger icon, just closed down its first location ever. In Oakland.
I doubt the towns north of Sacramento want to cede. They are too dependent on the rest of California. Without California, these small towns couldn't afford to build roads, police, or firefighters on their own. They do not generate enough tax dollars to sustain themselves. There are no jobs North of Sacramento unless you pick grapes.
This list is ridiculous - no mention of crime, homelessness, taxes, traffic, etc. Why do you think a huge number of residents are moving to other states???
Is this guy on crack has he seen what is going on in San Francisco Oakland LA I live in one of the very best cities in California by far southern California rocks yes it's expensive but it's a fantastic place to live Carlsbad CA
Really? Oakland LA and San Fran are on this list? You didn’t even mention Sacramento, Roseville or Rockland? I’m a traveling healthcare worker and I traveled the whole state. Salinas is a 3rd world country Oakland is hood and San Fran and LA are disgusting. You didn’t even mention San Jose or Santa Cruz. Did you even do your research?
The data is really outdated. LA, SF, Oakland, Sacramento? There are many other safer and nicer cities in California. You named so many cities that are either high in crime rate or with a lot of homeless ppl. I have lived in California for over 30 years. I just have to say you do not know California at all.
Nice one.. was great to look at Home… I was born in LA. Moved to Sacramento at 16.. seen it all. Now living for the past 15 years in England U.K.. was a good memory trip you took me on. I get back home every 2-3 years… Cheers 🍻
San Francisco, Fresno and Oakland, are you crazy?
Only san Francisco is good not oakland
How is he crazy

True. Oh, so true. Median price 1.5 mil. Low end of San Diego in decent area, safe...
Oakland made this list ?? LOL it’s one of the most dangerous cities in America. Crime and homelessness out of control.
You ain't lying my brother been with his baby's mother for over 17 years. She was born and raised there and I'm surprised 😅
Yeah, also San Francisco… Very high crime, how did that make the list too? And LA!
I saw this after watching Oakland as being the top 10 worst place to live in .ca
well I mean he mentioned 20 cities. That's a lot of cities. so it included some bad cities cuz of how many cities mentioned
@@RealRandomSmart well I mean he mentioned 20 cities. That's a lot of cities. so it included some bad cities cuz of how many cities mentioned
OAKLAND?! WTF it is the most dangerous city in the state .
Oakland, Fresno and Victorville... you must be kidding.
You are kidding with this list! Places like Fresno and Salinas having incredible high crime rates! Los Angeles and San Francisco are totally overrun with the homeless. Victorville is out in the sticks. You will drive for hours to find work!!! I only agree with San Diego.
Yeah lived here my whole life and Fresno, Salinas amd Victorville are disgusting
Yeah but it’s conservative and that’s a no no for me. There are places that are blue and don’t have the stuff you mentioned.
Even downtown San Diego has gotten dirty and full of homeless... this person is clueless on CA?! 😂
San Diego is all Mexico

When I first moved to CA in 1970 Fresno was considered the armpit of California. It obvious to the eye that it's come a long way
I unfortunately live in an unsafe area in Sacramento. I do like T, U, and V Street in Sacramento and the streets that run off T Street. I like southern California the best because the beaches are closer when you don't have a car and rely on public transportation.
These comments are so helpful, my goodness
There really not
Great we live in Sandiego . Beautiful place I love it. The best of all the places in north america
Loved the video on '20 Best Places to Live in California'! Really makes planning for retirement exciting and doable. Great insights!
Don't believe a word of it
Ya...this list is the worst

@@johnivey7790 nah there is many good places to live in California to retire. though I wouldn't retire in LA San Francisco or Oakland.

Actually it's hard with a top 5 list ..I personally love so cal and Carmel is more north but amazing ..lake Tahoe is nice
can you do one for bay area. I really want to live there because of IT jobs.
Anywhere Newport to San Diego is nice. Santa Barbara, Carpenteria, and San Luis Obispo also nice. Depends if you want bigger or smaller city.
This click-bait is a crock of BS! Totally NOT true, y'all!!!

@ankhpom9296 ya..all those definitely over salinas..Salinas is terrible
Where do you get your housing prices? Must be talking condos, and even those are too low. This whole vid is completely misleading.
Yes moving into the city of Santa Barbara! High rents, High home prices!!!
Excellent video and definitely helps shorten the list of potential places to move to this year!
Fresno????
The Fresno night crawler is a W
LA seriously and SF were a lot of homeless and drug addict.
I’m eye balling Irvine, Ca
Irvine is nice!
I lived in elkgrove for a year nice town
Your guess is bang on.,victor

Yes
Fresno really! High crime and hot weather - no thanks!

Shell Beach Ca it was 70* today 7 20 24❤
How did you make up this list!
my good trip is to Stockton California

I love L.A
You are so sideways Oakland Fresno the worst I lived in cal for 30 years
Very little accuracy here, forget. Cost of housings totally off the charts, rents are over 2 k a month
One out of 20 , Yuba City. Low batting average!
Victorville 💀 hell nah lmao
I Love San Diego ❤
Too expensive
For sure!! 3rd gen Native. Love it and not ever leaving!!
You pay for it, so squeeze every ounce out of SD you can. If you don't, you're loss. Drive, bike, sail, walk, fly... it's ALL here!!
Redlands? Are you serious?
Well, I'd take Redlands over San Bernadino. Which isn't saying much!!
There is a bad area in Redlands - north of the freeway - but most of the city, including downtown, is really very nice.

SAN DIEGO 1,200 SQ.FEET HOME $700,000. TAXES $4,000 PER YEAR.PRAISE THE LORD.
San Francisco? Oakland? Fresno? Are you kidding or did not do your "homework"?
All of California North of Sacramento should cede from south.
It was tried just before World War 2. Did not pass!
I doubt the towns north of Sacramento want to cede. They are too dependent on the rest of California. Without California, these small towns couldn't afford to build roads, police, or firefighters on their own. They do not generate enough tax dollars to sustain themselves. How about Livermore ca
Monterey Peninsula number one ...
The info is out of touch. 15 of 20 were also mentioned in the worse California city to live in.
Wait a minute now. You never even mentioned the problems that's making CA "very well known" though not in a nice way.
God bless California and the United States!!
Guess there is no Need to mention that Fresno and Oakland are terribly dangerous.

Santa Barbara has no water for you!
Victorville is victumville! #2😂
Oakland is a dying city. Homelessness is a big pandemic disease all over in California. San Francisco is also a dying city.

9. Oakland 😂
