The fuel not sold during lockdown was in danger of "going off" so they hyped up the fuel shortage crisis, everyone panicked and all the nearly out of date fuel got sold.

The problem is we "took back control" and handed that control to an incompetent government. Oh yeah....now I remember this. Aye, It was alright until the Wales Online sparked a mass panic that spread to Europe. It wasn't just us, as Germany had somehow lost 12,000 lorry drivers. I have relatives in France, Germany and Italy and they was telling me about the problems they faced before Britain ended up with it. It is all because of the few canals that dried up in USA, that caused problems with the tankers, and it pushed up prices by 150%. It wasn't brexit, it was greed, price gouging.
