I will always be impressed by his Cricket ball throw. He just goes "first time i reckon" Steps up to the pole, throws and hits the three pins. Goes "here you go", and leaves while saying "call me when i am needed". Thats pretty awesome

I loved the teamwork with Alice in particular; every time one of them suggested something, the other built on it. Let's cover him, actually let's cover the shower, oh we can move the shower, etc, and all with very little time to work with!
that shower bit is absolute GOLD
I truly laughed at that one and having watched this show for so many years you think I would have seen that off the bat but it got past me and they picked it up really quickly into the situation pretty good for them.
the fact that his “dry martini” is a glass of water with two grapes in is possibly the best extra detail in the whole thing
The juxtaposition of being incredibly manly followed by the duck task next is pretty funny.
It's even funnier to see him in the light-reactive glasses after he said on the podcast how self conscious he was of them...
Tbf to the "attract women with pork" bit: I made my wife some bacon as a snack the first time we were at my place. And she's still my loving wife all these years later.

I'm pretty fussy with how I like my bacon, so if a guy I was dating managed to make it how I like it, he would definitely be a keeper.

Hers for the ducks, she pointed him in the direction, but he then saw the exact opportunity, that's why it's called team work
Wasn't it Alice's idea to cover the shower head rather than Alex, and when trying to do that, Russell found he could just turn it the other way then suggested disconnecting the hose

Mostly this reminded me of how delightful Alice was. Russell had some epic moments though, in different senses.

He did step on it after he threw the ball, so he didn’t get an advantage by stepping on it, other then regaining his balance after the throw. So I wouldn’t say he cheated. And I have studied it, and gone back and forth on the topic since it aired, because it bugged me too. But as he did knock them out on the first go, his part of the challenge ended when he threw the ball, as he then could no longer change the outcome, and it was in that space of time he stepped on the carpet. If and athlete does drugs on the finish line after the race, they wouldn’t have performed the task with any enhancements, but they couldn’t have done a second run.
but the task was not "make sure not a single drop of water touches alex" it was to make him the least wet in competition with the other team. which they did.
I think what i took away from this is Russell is a eugenicists wet dream

Well I can identify with pictures several so called comedians who I would never watch due to boring content and cringe.
Remember humour is 1. Subjective, 2. Cultural, 3. Has to have some relevance to your life to be funny, that is you personally have to connect with it to recognise the humour.
If you don't connect that is your choice, but it is not to say he isn't funny.
We can say the same about horror films, most are not scary but actually quite humourous when you understand the technique behind the cinematography.
