Bill seems to be a very kind man. He loved larry joe bird . Bill was and is still a great player. Of the game 🏀🏀🏀. R.I .P . You will always be the 🐐🐐🐐🐐. I miss you bill 😥😥😥😥😥😥😥
He didn’t play varsity as a freshman because freshmen weren’t allowed to play varsity. That rule was changed in the 1972-73 season. He definitely would have started if he was eligible.
I never seen Maravich or Alcindor in college but in my humble opinion four way tie with greatest college player. Walton, Thompson, Bird, & Magic. I choose these four because their teams would have been just average without them. They had such an impact on making their teams better.
I hate the modern NBA the old game was so much better and more fun to watch, unlike some people I think the old school players knew how to play better and were more talented playing by the rules, unlike today with the palming and travelling. Modern NBA sucks Modern NBA is unwatchable and the three-point line ruined the game. The players today are very low class and do not respect the players that came before them and put them down. If you took modern players back in time with the same shoes and training and made them play by the old game rules they would lose badly. I watched the old players and they are just as good or better. The new players are delusional they think they are so much better well men were tougher and stronger back in the 60s with more testosterone then the girly boys of today notice how i did not call them men because they are not men!
I share your high regard for the big redhead. Bill remains my alltime favorite.
A very well-done video! Bill Walton's career is definitely a what could have been, but certainly not a bust by any stretch!!

Freshmen weren't eligible to play on the varsity back then. They had to play on the freshman team. A time when the ncaa actually had some control.
Walton had bad luck with injuries, but he worked hard in the weight room. Very strong upper body in the NBA

trillions must watch 1973 ncaa championship vs memphis state
Walton had all the tools...unfortuneatly bad ankles were in that same tool box.
