Hidden tech for you: Holding W whilst grappling will have drastically different behaviour than holding S, this is intented behaviour. Holding S will allow you to arc over your grapple point, making it much much better for getting on top of things such as rooves when you're close to the edge.
@@swalees Here's a bunch more I've discovered: - If you use a Light dash over any of the non-triangular bounce pads you keep your dash momentum through the whole thing. You can do some pretty insane map travel with it. - Sword has a built in dash on the heavy attack, but ONLY if you're moving sideways or forwards at the moment you release AND you're on the ground. If you're stationary, in the air even slightly (anywhere during or after a jump) or moving backwards, you don't get the forward dash. - If you're using the Model 1887, don't reload on low magazine, instead go all the way down to 0 first: it takes LONGER to reload if you have 1 or more in the mag, because you pop out the remaining shell first and reload it back in. This means you wait 2 shells worth of reload time before any enters the magazine again, which is wasted time you can't cancel to shoot. If you empty the magazine, you reload the first shot normally, followed by a double reload. Meaning if you're in a pinch, you want to stay at 0 ammo and keep firing each time to load one in. - Grenades and other throwables can bounce on bouncepads - Holding up any holdable environment object can block a shot. So if you need to cross in front of a sniper such as Seoul exposed bridge to the hospital, you can hold a bin, chair, or pot plant up. Just cover the sniper's body with your plant and he wont be able to headshot you. - Sledgehammers can now actually break walls, as can grenades. This wasn't he case in the first couple betas. Especially as there's now a heavy attack (right click) that most people still haven't realized is in the game yet lol. - You can destroy bouncepads pretty easily by shooting them if they've been put in your way. - If you stick goo to a door and then use the door, the goo will swing with it. - You can stick a C4 to things like a potted plant and then throw that to detonate it much faster than if you'd thrown it from hand. - You can shoot the bridge / elevator buttons with your gun, you don't need to press it with the interact button. - You can ride a red canister like a flying skateboard if you stand on it and then shoot it. - Using the CL-40 (medium) grenade launcher, if you are holding down the fire button then you'll shoot the grenade and then not slide the action back until you release the button. This means if you're not tapping and releasing as quickly as possible, you're likely shooting the grenade launcher slower than intended. This *doesnt* apply if you're at 0 ammo, where if you hold the fire button down you'll reload one back in and fire it immediately on a loop - You can actually jump an entire floors height with any size character. e.g. If you're in a house and there's a hole in the ceiling, jump and hold space bar and you can grab onto the edge of the hole every time - If you're using the FCAR, only do recoil control for the first half of the magazine: there is almost NO RECOIL for the second half of the magazine. - Hipfire with the sniper is only likely to be on the crosshair (ish, very rarely directly on) for 2-3 shots in the mag out of 6 total. This is the case even if you're completely stationary.
The Crosshair information cleared a lot up for me. I couldn't understand why I'd miss sniper shots I knew I could hit. Playing Apex after and hitting sentinel shots only compounded the confusion. Thanks for the heads-up
@@Bagginsess misunderstood I mean it's realistic that the gun goes left and right and it's not still considering how much chaos and action is in the game But yes the shots should go where the gun points. imo it's better like this because if not u should track where the enemy goes and at the same time where the crosshair goes and could be very hard specially for controller players
Crosshair info is the most important one and really helpful for most of the players. I have been confused for some time and now I see why I cannot hit consistently.
There's a ton of tech I've found. My favorite being the red canisters. If you're holding one, don't throw it like you would regularly. Instead, hit your melee key and it'll be like firing a rocket. You can also melee other things you pick up. It's a lot of extra utility you can take advantage of without taking up slots.
Ive had some bugs with the red barrel when hitting it with melee sometimes it takes 3 or 4 melees to activate so i default to throwing it (also shoots like a rocket) But melee on poisen or flame barrels is the way to go. Barrels are an underrated way of attacking or defending. a C4 on a poisen barrel can stop the flip on cashout for a solid 15 seconds
that's only useful if you want to throw it to something close, which could damage you, for most cases when you throw it at some thing it goes at a more precise angle and further with the normal throw. Alternately, you could throw it and immediately pick it up again and then throw again for the same precisity and angle, but for a close hit.
if you press f right after throwing a red canister you can pull it back and it wont bounce like it usually does when you throw it again you can also shoot goo barrels in the air to create a wrecking ball type effect that can destroy whole buildings
I wouldn't mind bullets coming from the center in an arena shooter if there wasn't so much sway lol. Good info though and thanks for the recommendation on the Steam application. I'll definitely be checking that out.

Making me tear up! I feel as though moving forward? It should be a MODE similar to old BF that’s like RUSH maybe a 12v12? 16v16? Where every time you steal it goes back to your team. Plant a boarder line within the map red/ blue and off we go. Far as respawning or lives left. That’ll be up to the devs.

an obscure tech i've found is that you can bounce projectiles off of the mediums jump pad. had a game where we were cashing out 1 side of the map, other cashout on the other side. cl 40 didn't have enough range but did with the pad, actually got a kill after like 20 shots of getting the right trajectory.
Shooting out the bottom middle section of a goo wall will make it "fall" through the floor. This is because airborne goo does a lot of destructive damage to structures, but it must be airborne for at least a brief moment. Can also be used to drill through the top of buildings if you shoot a canister before it hits the ground.
The game has so much polish and that's exactly why the crosshair thing did not cross my mind at all. Nevertheless, thank you for this. Time to main the sniper.

If you throw a goo barrel in the air and shoot it or detonate it, while it’s in the air it becomes a destructible wrecking ball that can destroy buildings on the way down from above
Also you can shoot bounce pads, the poles of zip lines and ladders to destroy them making it harder for the opponent to get on top of where ever you’re defending from
Also if you’re playing as the heavy and have a goo gun you can make Bridges across long structures to walk across them just aim the goo gun in the same spot and shoot without moving your curser and you can create a bridge
I just tested that. Thats just so fun. I tried abit more with the goobarrels and it actually has one of the strongest destruction powers. Will definetly implement that into my games and into a new Video.
@@kamronfry6232 I do shoot alot of the Ziplines and bouncepads after setting up on a cashout to limit the mobility of advancing enemy teams. It probably won me a few tournament fights by hindering the oponents movement. Definetly a good tip Also the Goo gun bridge very interesting. Idk if i want to sacrifice a slot for that cause jumppad and Zipline of medium will provide better movement but if you play solo Heavy and have 2 lights on your team probably the best movement option you have.
There's a hidden tech i learned form a small streamer. You need to first throw the goo grenade at your feet then spam jump. the Goo breaches floors and its great for flanking or making different strats to steal cashout. I think the Streamers name was DODI
One thing to note is that people have told me you can get BANNED when using a 3rd Party Crosshair program. (I checked and its part of their Policy ) I havent seen anyone get banned for it YET but I strongly recommend to not push your luck. The built in Monitor Crosshair is safe to use as it is not a 3rd party program. But idk if the devs are happy with it.
i tried to use hudsight the other day and the game would crash bc of the anti cheat or something. i tried to play today and i cant connect to a server. i think it banned me even tho it never let me use the crosshair in the first place. im pissed 😠
I think about the only suggestion I'd have is recording the recoil sprays for the game. It'd be interesting to see how it changes. Maybe I should do that on my end? But y'know, who'll ever see that? Reguardless, tyvm for letting us all know its still aim to the center of the screen and a free tool to have a dot on the screen if I want to push my luck. Subbing just for that

Using third party crosshair programs, will get you banned. They officially stated that already in the discord Server. As this does give you an advantage compared to your enemies
Be careful with downloading a crosshair program. Some anti cheats may ban you for it. Use the built in one on your monitor if you have one. If you dont't, well too bad..
I asked in Lezduit and Piggy chat and apparently crosshair is bannable, it make no sense for me but I even got error 400 something while in practice range with the program on. Maybe you should not install it?
Hidden movement tech 1 - hold shift and forward while manteling, the moment you start manteling hold jump. Release jump at the end of the mantel while still holding shift and forward for a big jump forward. You can change direction by looking with your camera right before the jump happens. Maintain this momentum with a side. Edit: Hidden movement tech 1a: same thing as above but don't hold W, for a jump backwards instead. Hidden movement tech 2 - a perfectly timed bhop from a jump pad or other movement ability will maintain most of that momentum, think using the large jump pads onto roofs of houses, you can clear another whole house with a bhop. Guns remain pretty accurate, so you can drive-by beam someone this way, if you aim is fast enough.
@swalees is no where near as pronounced as a superglide, but the timing and input is also super easy. I should mention to continue holding forward. You can do the same thing backwards by giving it no direction input. Also, you can hold forward and turn your camera to get a jump in a different direction. Combine with slide and fast jump pad deployment for good results.

This game has realistic aiming technology. It is not COD or other Ubisoft FPS games. The learning curve is there, but it is fun to climb the ranks once you master the skills.
So basically console gets Janked for the crosshair thing since there is no natural way to add a crosshair. :/ that is stupid. I feel like it should be a setting already to have a center dot crosshair. The is game is so smooth that when I shoot it completely takes me out of it when my gun sways all over my screen.
Great vid. I found one thing that i hope they fix today i bought the pistol and it is so op but i can't shoot it to fast so i made a macro to spam it.. sadly it causes the game to get you out of the match with "connection failed", and i hope they even add a reconnect button because my first real crash happened on my first tournament in the last fight when we would have won tho (not the pistol glitch).
And light characters don't exist in higher leagues. I'm ranked 732 on Xbox and I'm close to diamond. We don't see any lights and if they do come in the game they get rekt. Medium class and heavy are the strongest in teamwork when it comes to top teams. But light is fun for quick match etc
The crosshairs info seems wrong??? I have yet to play so maybe idk what I’m talking about, but that’s side sway it looks like and it’s very prevalent in more realistic fps games where if your strafing you sway your rifle or w.e in ads. It just looks like in this game is exaggerated quite a bit?
That is the point. It is movement sway (most noticeable in jumps) but the fact that your shots do not become inaccurate or follow the movement of the crosshair it shoots deadcenter of your screen
I really love the final but I have this small feeling that it will die. They need to add more content on release and I know they have added new guns since past betas but still they need something big to make people want to keep playing upon release. Idk what it is but I hope they can do more with it.

@@ok10469 seems like a gameplay decision afterall they tweaked it to not be 100percent accurate not a misdirect more like a nerf to moving while shooting as it might seem a bit dirty if moving and shooting with a sniper especially as snipers could be really op, also you can do it ig i def see its uses but why dont you just have a feel for the center like look at apex super gliding using macros. Aint illeagle super useful but you can definatly master it similar to feeling center screen buts at that point youre using a software or modifing files for the gap in skill that you can def learn. Idk ig if its leagle then its all good but if i want competive integrity i prefer to just have the game running as is.
I agree with both of you to some degree. Im definitely against people getting ahead of some other people with macros or 3rd party software. I also play without a center dot cause i have a pretty good feel for it (thats why i noticed that problem) but i want to mainly help people that struggle without knowing whats wrong. And it definitely shouldnt be like this in the first place. Also superglide macros in apex is forbidden by the devs. You can get banned.
This is part of why I really like the move that mw2022 introduced with starting to move away from the gunplay being based around the centre of the screen, and instead introducing other motions. Just helps give you so much more feedback, and makes overlays useless. I wouldn't mind some other things with this game, but the gunplay is just a huge letdown for me, and it just looks so bizarre and dated.
They just released a patch that fixes alot of the connection problems, especially if you got disconnected midgame and couldnt rejoin. might be worth to try one more time to see if they fixed it for you
Easy anti Cheat detects some of the programs as malicious and they can ban you for it. Its weird but they flag pretty much every 3rd party software as dangerous.
Am I the only one who finds this ridiculous? The sway is already a lot but now I have to pin point the middle of my screen because I’m on console. Why’s the crosshair even there
If you dont have a gaming Monitor you could stick a tape to the middle of your screen and draw a dot with a marker in the middle of your crosshair when standing still. Its a bit ridiculous but i dont have another alternative for console sadly.
My issue is lights are weak good against medium and lights and mediums are good against lights and mediums okay against heavy’s and heavy’s are good against everyone
it doesnt need to be fixed ur shot should be inaccurate down ur site if ur bobbing and weaving around looking down the scope of a sniper rifle! does the same thing in counterstrike and many other games. if u want a clear clean shot u stay still if u want to roll the die by incorporating fast movement so be it but know that ur shot isnt going to be dead center! its not a broken game mechanic its purposful and mean to balance out the sniper class how op would it be for a light class being basically the flash with invisibility powers allowing them to 2 shot someone at mach speed with ease. it was unbalance the whole game a sniper should be sitting back sniping not going close quarter its a tournament based game not a full on arcade shooter each class has its own checks and balances! if u want call of poopy go play call of poopy!

I normally throw it, catch it right back, and then throw it. when timed right it’s an impact bomb lol

@@kamronfry6232 I do shoot alot of the Ziplines and bouncepads after setting up on a cashout to limit the mobility of advancing enemy teams. It probably won me a few tournament fights by hindering the oponents movement. Definetly a good tip
Also the Goo gun bridge very interesting. Idk if i want to sacrifice a slot for that cause jumppad and Zipline of medium will provide better movement but if you play solo Heavy and have 2 lights on your team probably the best movement option you have.

There's a hidden tech i learned form a small streamer.
You need to first throw the goo grenade at your feet then spam jump.
the Goo breaches floors and its great for flanking or making different strats to steal cashout.

One thing to note is that people have told me you can get BANNED when using a 3rd Party Crosshair program. (I checked and its part of their Policy )
I havent seen anyone get banned for it YET but I strongly recommend to not push your luck.
The built in Monitor Crosshair is safe to use as it is not a 3rd party program. But idk if the devs are happy with it.
i tried to use hudsight the other day and the game would crash bc of the anti cheat or something. i tried to play today and i cant connect to a server. i think it banned me even tho it never let me use the crosshair in the first place. im pissed 😠

I think about the only suggestion I'd have is recording the recoil sprays for the game. It'd be interesting to see how it changes.

Using third party crosshair programs, will get you banned. They officially stated that already in the discord Server. As this does give you an advantage compared to your enemies

Be careful with downloading a crosshair program. Some anti cheats may ban you for it. Use the built in one on your monitor if you have one. If you dont't, well too bad..
its an overlay, it doesnt even interact with the instance the game is running on

Hidden movement tech 1 - hold shift and forward while manteling, the moment you start manteling hold jump. Release jump at the end of the mantel while still holding shift and forward for a big jump forward. You can change direction by looking with your camera right before the jump happens. Maintain this momentum with a side.
Edit: Hidden movement tech 1a: same thing as above but don't hold W, for a jump backwards instead.
Hidden movement tech 2 - a perfectly timed bhop from a jump pad or other movement ability will maintain most of that momentum, think using the large jump pads onto roofs of houses, you can clear another whole house with a bhop. Guns remain pretty accurate, so you can drive-by beam someone this way, if you aim is fast enough.
So I assume its a similar effect to superglides in apex but input obv different ?

@swalees is no where near as pronounced as a superglide, but the timing and input is also super easy. I should mention to continue holding forward. You can do the same thing backwards by giving it no direction input.
Also, you can hold forward and turn your camera to get a jump in a different direction. Combine with slide and fast jump pad deployment for good results.

On alot of guns you barely notice it. But for sniper and the Revolver it is definetly useful. Also on the light Pistol if you spam the shots.

It won't get fixed. It's not even good. 1 the turret will have issue locking on and 2 it takes like 1 seconds to shoot out the object in hand

Its a good game, the only game I am good at. I have won many games and got the highest score. Its so random too. Its the easiest shooter by far. Good for all players.

if you are light and dash into a bounce pad you will go a lot farther than expected

This game has realistic aiming technology. It is not COD or other Ubisoft FPS games. The learning curve is there, but it is fun to climb the ranks once you master the skills.
So basically console gets Janked for the crosshair thing since there is no natural way to add a crosshair. :/ that is stupid. I feel like it should be a setting already to have a center dot crosshair. The is game is so smooth that when I shoot it completely takes me out of it when my gun sways all over my screen.
something not many ppl know is you can right click your teammates bodys instead of leftclickng so they dont fly across the map

I found one thing that i hope they fix today i bought the pistol and it is so op but i can't shoot it to fast so i made a macro to spam it.. sadly it causes the game to get you out of the match with "connection failed", and i hope they even add a reconnect button because my first real crash happened on my first tournament in the last fight when we would have won tho (not the pistol glitch).
Especially the crosshair thing should be noticed in the first couple of hours if you dont play with ur eyes closed

And light characters don't exist in higher leagues. I'm ranked 732 on Xbox and I'm close to diamond. We don't see any lights and if they do come in the game they get rekt. Medium class and heavy are the strongest in teamwork when it comes to top teams.
But light is fun for quick match etc

I have yet to play so maybe idk what I’m talking about, but that’s side sway it looks like and it’s very prevalent in more realistic fps games where if your strafing you sway your rifle or w.e in ads. It just looks like in this game is exaggerated quite a bit?
That is the point. It is movement sway (most noticeable in jumps) but the fact that your shots do not become inaccurate or follow the movement of the crosshair it shoots deadcenter of your screen
I really love the final but I have this small feeling that it will die. They need to add more content on release and I know they have added new guns since past betas but still they need something big to make people want to keep playing upon release. Idk what it is but I hope they can do more with it.

@@ok10469 seems like a gameplay decision afterall they tweaked it to not be 100percent accurate not a misdirect more like a nerf to moving while shooting as it might seem a bit dirty if moving and shooting with a sniper especially as snipers could be really op, also you can do it ig i def see its uses but why dont you just have a feel for the center like look at apex super gliding using macros. Aint illeagle super useful but you can definatly master it similar to feeling center screen buts at that point youre using a software or modifing files for the gap in skill that you can def learn. Idk ig if its leagle then its all good but if i want competive integrity i prefer to just have the game running as is.

I agree with both of you to some degree. Im definitely against people getting ahead of some other people with macros or 3rd party software.
I also play without a center dot cause i have a pretty good feel for it (thats why i noticed that problem) but i want to mainly help people that struggle without knowing whats wrong. And it definitely shouldnt be like this in the first place.
Also superglide macros in apex is forbidden by the devs. You can get banned.
I got banned for using hudsight(crosshair) so beware
This is part of why I really like the move that mw2022 introduced with starting to move away from the gunplay being based around the centre of the screen, and instead introducing other motions. Just helps give you so much more feedback, and makes overlays useless.
I wouldn't mind some other things with this game, but the gunplay is just a huge letdown for me, and it just looks so bizarre and dated.

Connection to server failed is all i've been seeing for the past week. Managed to play a total of four games or so.
They just released a patch that fixes alot of the connection problems, especially if you got disconnected midgame and couldnt rejoin.

Easy anti Cheat detects some of the programs as malicious and they can ban you for it.
Its weird but they flag pretty much every 3rd party software as dangerous.

If you dont have a gaming Monitor you could stick a tape to the middle of your screen and draw a dot with a marker in the middle of your crosshair when standing still.
Its a bit ridiculous but i dont have another alternative for console sadly.
My issue is lights are weak good against medium and lights and mediums are good against lights and mediums okay against heavy’s and heavy’s are good against everyone
Health should be reduced to 175 for medium and 200 for heavy
heavys are only good against lights if the light player is bad

it doesnt need to be fixed ur shot should be inaccurate down ur site if ur bobbing and weaving around looking down the scope of a sniper rifle! does the same thing in counterstrike and many other games. if u want a clear clean shot u stay still if u want to roll the die by incorporating fast movement so be it but know that ur shot isnt going to be dead center! its not a broken game mechanic its purposful and mean to balance out the sniper class how op would it be for a light class being basically the flash with invisibility powers allowing them to 2 shot someone at mach speed with ease. it was unbalance the whole game a sniper should be sitting back sniping not going close quarter its a tournament based game not a full on arcade shooter each class has its own checks and balances! if u want call of poopy go play call of poopy!
and if i may add ive tested it out it only goes off center from ur scope when ur moving if ur standing still ur crosshair is dead center.
