Spectacular watch! +5 / -3 is pretty respectable for a tourbillon + 10atm WR is solid. Well done seiko👏the movement is so incredible. Aesthetically & technically immaculate... i also love the finishing & detailing. The Case matches perfectly the movement. Clasp & bracelet are also gorgeous. A stunning watch for every collector👏

Tim I'm loving the channel as you review more and more Grand Seikos. As zaratsu polishing is always brought up, I really want to hear you mention that any brushed flank of the case has to be zaratsu polished before hand as it really adds to the depth of hands-craftsmanship . Cheers

Tim,i really want a comparison of this watch with Andreas Strehler TransAxial remontoire tourbillon side by side .both have hell lot of similarities but unique in their own way ,Regardless one must say Grand Seiko made a stunning timepiece .

Grand Seiko finally made a watch for metalheads with their 16th note tourbillon. They must be considering the balance oscillation as doubles otherwise if my math is correct you'd end up with 8th notes.

Is it possible to make a spring drive tourbillon
No as a spring drive watch eliminates all the reasons why a tourbillion exists in the first place (positional varience, chronometry). Though I do think you are on to an idea about jazzing up the glide wheel and presenting it more elagently than in say an eichii.
Why ?? 😂😂 there's no need for tourbillon in a spring drive watch. The next step gs should do is make a pure mechanical watch with the gliding second hand of a spring drive
@@sailingadventurer a regulator can do that. Check out the Gronograff by gronefeld. Issue is that it requires too much torque and is EXTREMELY expensive.
