Every time I talk to Tom it is like a wealth of information. Tom Knows so much I see him at the swap meet when I go. Amazing made in America still. His cranks and cams are legit.

A tip : watch series on Kaldrostream. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies these days.

Back in the early 1970s in Melbourne, Australia, I was running a 66 Beetle as my work car as a Property Manager.Over a few years, I turned this ordinary sleeper into a personal tribute to hot VWs visiting Scat Volks in Whitehorse Road, Blackburn. The car was a head turner on Blaze Blue, a 1970 GT HO Falcon factory color. My tiny, padded Saas steering wheel was very popular and everyone wanted to get in the driver seat to feel it.

I used to go to Scat Volks in Blackburn, the manager's car always parked out the front - Porsche 911.
Robin Harris was his name if I remember correctly.

@@wizzard5442 Great memories of a friendly bunch at Scat Volks. Last night watched an interview of VW custom garage, possibly Narooma in Australia. They build beetle hill climb cars mainly using Type Four Kombi engines. The car featured was a white late model Superbug, a hill climb killer, the driver sits in the centre.Owner's name may have been Pearson.

This makes you look at the cost of a Scat crank in an entirely different light! Very nominal price compared to the cost of the machinery to produce them. Great video!!

Yep!...Scat made me a 'one-off' 60mm crank for my road racing 1965 bug I have here in the UK (1299cc 9000rpm motor). They manufactured and delivered it real quick and I have no complaints about the price.

Hey hot vws magazine, good content but you should invest on an external microphone. You can't hear the guys when you pan to the machines and they are still talking. Just some constructive criticism.
