  • The CF-19 Panasonic Toughbook has long been the go to Toughbook for highly mobile and fully rugged job codes such as EMS. Panasonic has developed the first fully detachable laptop: the CF-20 Toughbook to replace the older CF-19. Utilizing customer favorite features such as the reversible screen and high mobility, with the CF-20 Panasonic has improved on the design with a lighter and slimmer form factor (while retaining full rugged durability), more interface options and an improved keyboard design. The Rugged Store compares a CF-19 Toughbook side by side with the successor CF-20 Toughbook. You can visit us at: theruggedstore....

The CF-20 is fully rugged. All of its durability ratings can be found on the spec sheet here: ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/computer/toughbook20/toughbook-20_specsheet.pdf Sorry for the delay in response! Thanks for watching.

Really good, well thought out video. Great comparison between the two computers. I can tell you put a lot of effort and work into this video. Those are both beautiful pieces of hardware. The CF-20 looks very attractive and will probably be popular with more than EMS/Police types. On a separate note, do you suspect a slimmed down replacement for the CF-31 is in the pipeline? Thanks again.

Thanks Richard! Glad you liked it. Actually, there is a unit in
development that might end up doing that. We aren't allowed to talk
specifics yet, but look for a Panasonic announcement probably first
      quarter 2017.

Yep! That is the new CF-33 which will be replacing the CF-31 (don't ask us what they did with the CF-32 :) ) set for "official" North American release in a week (released in Europe last month.)

I suspect there may be a cf-32 yet. The traditional laptop isn't dead yet.
