As someone who doesn't regularly watch Liverpool I don't think Trent has fallen of so much as he's been exposed more because of the team around him.
I watch Liverpool every week and he's been frequently very poor going forward and in defense. It's more than others exposing his weaknesses but that's a factor

That farcical VAR decision against him, robbed him of what would've been quite a vindicating moment and perhaps a turning point in his season. Then back to square one, out AGAIN injured, only a couple minutes into the following match. Smh...Still, he's likely to be "The Man" at Spurs once Kane is gone, either this season or next on a free.

De Ketelaere has only played an average of 40 minutes in each game he's played, to be fair. It's really hard to get into a rhythm when you're being played so sporadically.

Signed him up as a left back into the Championship, and even before the end of that transfer window I was getting Prem bids for him, which was annoying, and half less than I paid for him (which wasn't much since I was managing Middlesbrough...). Gotta love the realism on offer sometimes but... hoping he comes good again since I felt a bit of pride I'd found him when some of my football mates had no idea who he was then he gets a big money move.

He’s good but a combination of poor luck and Milan’s dip in form and weak attacking tactics meant he’s been worse.
That Milan move came too soon. He needed to do a KDB and move to a Wolfsburg type club first.
I was shocked, wondering, a disgrace list and no Chelsea in it ? Then we got to number 1 and I was like “hello there my good old friend” 😂

As someone who watches Liverpool each week, Trent isn't that bad a defender. He switches off (particularly on crosses to the back post) but the reason he looks bad is because he's overloaded every time. Salah doesn't track back and Elliott often doesn't so he is almost always having to cover two or even three players. The whole team has been misfiring this season and it's pretty unfair to target probably the second best playmaker in the league
Trent is just easy to hate on half these people in the comments dont even watch Liverpool. Fabinho has been the real fall-off

If he's getting double and triple teamed by some of the best players in the world like the first Champions League final against Real I'd say fair enough but he's getting absolutely rinsed 1 on 1 by the likes of Mitoma. They got a new manager and got smashed 7-0 against Liverpool like they got bashed early in the season. Ronaldo wasn't playing then. City have dropped off, Chelsea have capitulated this season, Liverpool fell off a cliff. Nobody would've expected Liverpool and Chelsea to be fighting with Fulham and Brighton in the table. If they were still as they were last season, United arguably be 7th again this season.

Rashford has 14 goals 27 goals in 44 games this season. 291 games in total for a wide number of managers who rate him highly - but of course a nobody on the internet knows better.

True but Trent has been at fault for so many game losing goals it’s actually ridiculous. Only joe Gomez has been at fault for more but he was never as highly rated as Trent before this season.

Trent one is a bit unfair imo. Yes defensively he’s been very suspect but if you look deeper into his attacking stats he’s playing at the same level however the chances aren’t being put away as often by the forwards. His numbers are suffering as a result of the forwards at Liverpool. Defensively he can definitely improve

The problem with Trent is, whilst he's undoubtably been bad, and other teams have been focusing on him as a weak spot, it glosses over the fact that aside from Allison and Robertson (and even then not all good) the rest of the team has been jaded and poor. The problem really has been the effects of 60 games last season going to the final of every comp and then a short pre-season and a world cup stupidly crammed into the middle of a season. That has all combined to have a bad detrimental effect seemingly on the whole squad.
All we can hope is that with a proper pre-season and some new signings next season they'll be recharged and do better. Who those signings will be depends on whether Liverpool get European football at all next season, obviously Champions League is ideal, but getting Europa League is the minimum as winning it garantees Champions League and the season after will be the start of the new European League format, so everything changes for the 24/25 season. The summer is going to be crucial.
Some have suggested Trent should move to midlfield, which I think he could do, but the question then is, is Ramsay good enough? do they need another RB? they need 2 midfielders and at least one DC with Matip likely going (and possibly Gomez) as well as the likes of Ox and Keita. I can't see them having the transfer budget to get enough.

Perhaps Tottenham Hotspur should switch to a 3-5-2 and rotate between a Kane-Son or Kula-Richarleson Front 2. That would at the very least increase competition for places at Tottenham Hotspur.

Trent hasn't really changed much he's still great attacking and not great defending. But Liverpool have less control because of their midfield

And the midfield has been struggling because the attack isn't pressing effectively. I know the midfield is in need of new recruits, but the whole system is faulty. It starts from the front.
Raul de Tomas story is even worse because after his career high season he pushed for a move from Espanyol and they only gave him at the end of the transfer market as payback, he wanted to go free for bigger clubs, but instead they sold him to Rayo

btw, Leverkusen have struggled immensely this season in the Bundesliga and were placed near the bottom when they sacked their manager and appointed Alonso as new coach (Leverkusen is now in the upper half of the Bundesliga again). I don't think Schick not scoring is the reason for them having a tough season, I think them having a tough season is the reason Schick hasn't scored a lot.
Regarding Aubameyang: he did great for Arsenal, he did great for Barcelona, but they had to sell him again to get money and wage budget and Auba was happy to play under Tuchel at Chelsea. However, Boehly sacked Tuchel and started randomly buying players for 100m GBP and there was no place for Auba anymore. I don't think it's Auba's fault at all for that.
The real problem wasn't that there was no place for Auba, but rather the fact that Potter has an unhealthy obsession with playing Havertz as a Striker. Despite the fact that Havertz hasn't got the finishing ability to work in such a role, hence why Chelsea have struggled to score these days.
The best solution would be to switch to a 3-5-2 (which works to Potters & Aubas benefit) and play Auba on a regular basis.
One thing you can always bet your money on here in HITC Seven channels is Freddie Ado will always be mentioned in 50% of the video.
With the attackers falling gegenpressing on the defence of the other team, Trent was exposed as the poor defensive player he really is but he still a very technical player, he have a really good pass e long balls.
He is not a fullback, he is a winger.
tbh I think if Richarlison goes back and plays for the brazil national team he's gonna be good again. He seems to turn up just for his country, maybe a motivation or comfortability thing

It seems like TAA just doesn't have the gift of being able to defend. Like there is only so much you can learn without it just being a natural instinct. While his form has been terrible this season his weaknesses have been exposed many times before.
This season has been horrendous for alot of players. Im pretty sure less than 3 players have 10+goals and 10+ assists lol

Thing with Trent is that he went from academy kid to first team star so quickly , Liverpool as a whole and especially Trent himself lifted a bar so high that it was impossible to repeat those figures every single season. But yeah he has a few holes in his defending abilities , marking and reading the game.
That's why Klopp is trying to implement him into midfield right now , to take most out of his insane passing and vision but also to move him from the defence but i would rather play him on his real position cuz when he is in form you might concede few goals because of him but you will gain so much more on assists.

For the number 1, this is obvious because it was originally perceived to be a result of the so-called number 9 curse, which was happened for Fernando Torres, Gonzalo Higuain, Romelu Lukaku, and Alvaro Morata. All of those players were having a flop season with number 9 shirt.

Wait, woah woah Alfie hang on. Can we just do a check on Martin Hinteregger? Was playing as a centre half for Eintract Frankfurt last season, had his contract terminated by them in Summer 2022, now plays for SGA Sirnitz as a striker (17 goals in 16 games) who play in the FIFTH tier of Austrian football. Over 140 appearances for RB Salzburg and more than 100 appearances for Frankfurt, not to mention 67 caps for Austria. He won the Europa League with Eintracht, then subsequently retired at the age of 29 and signed for his home town club. If there's a quicker turnaround than that, I'd like to see it!
That being said, Matty Longstaff scoring against Man U on his debut and then trotting out for Colchester United is a bit of a drop off.

TAA would still be considered world class, if he was played as either a right midfielder or winger. He is creative, fast, a good dribbler and great passer of the ball. Gareth Bale started as a left back, but was moved further forward as it suited him better. Why trent's coaches aren't prepared to take the same chance on him and instead keep him struggling in defence, is beyond me.
LFC's midfield is not able to cover for Trent when he attacks, it is not Trent who's form has dipped.

Tbf it wasnt really de tomas' fault, he fell out with the manager after not letting him leave to rayo so they just froze him out of the club just to sell him to rayo 6 months later. Imagine having joselu and de tomas in the same team and not playing them together.

Trent is not as bad at defending as people say. You ignore the 25 good defensive things he does in a game and focus on the 2 mistakes he makes. They didn’t win everything and run away with the league by 20 points in 19/20 if he was as bad of a defender as people say he is. Yes, it is the weakest part of his game but that’s because he is world class going forward. I’ve seen trippier make the same amount of bad mistakes and terrible defending, sometimes more, as he has in games and it’s never mentioned.
Him and the liverpool team are currently in a dip in form but of course he gets video after video bashing him, one must wonder why he is feeling so rubbish about himself. Knows no matter what he does, he’s going to be called crap. he’ll be back to his best. Klopp’s system is designed around him getting forward and creating from the back, he is being asked to do 3 jobs at once. He doesn’t have the midfield to cover him so he’s having to track back and get as forward as he is being told to all the time. It’s the way Klopp wants to play and if he was told to only defend for a game, he would be completely fine at defending. But he’s not and Klopp wants him to play freer, a sacrifice in his game that worked when there was a stronger midfield. Next season, when they are back and have a midfield and he is back to his best, I expect to see a video here talking about how it was a one season dip.
As a Liverpool fan i can state that his flaws have been the same since he burst on the scene. He's always been an ordinary defender who's awareness goes awol quite frequently. Even at his best he has been exposed, Napoli has done it at least twice in the CL. When he was operating at a world class level, his defensive short comings were covered up by our midfield and the high press of our forwards. I think he is probably best suited as a midfielder.
Personally i don't blame him as he's doing what Klopp is asking him to do. The direct comparison is Robertson who defends much better and still delivers assists. Klopp needs to rebuild the midfield.

I would say he focused on only younger players, until the last pick, Benz has had a drop, but he is not in terrible form, 11 goals in 16 is not bad considering he had a lot of injuries, Carvajal has been ok-ish for years, Kroos is considering retirement and Mendy has not been as terrible as the guys in this list
Benzema hasn’t fallen that much. He certainly hasn’t been as great as he was last season but 19 goals in 29 games isn’t terrible by any standards.

Aubameyang...a worthy #1 if ever there was one. Though Chelsea's squad could fill this list by themselves TBH (Sterling, Mendy, Fofana and Pulisic to name but a few)
33 is NOT young for a player of Aubameyangs size. To not see the pitch is a helpless, foreign feeling that will destroy a player’s ability. The commitment to training is absurd at this level…only to sit and watch.
Don’t forget, we saw Bale go from fastest player in 2017 to retired at 32. Griezman was written off, now back. These guys have played since they were 5. It’s one hell of a journey.

You missed the biggest fall from Grace this year: Jurgen Klopp. He has shown himself to be a one-trick pony, wedded to tactics ill-suited to his players, wedded to players who are no longer playing at high standards, and insistent on proving that TAA is a fullback while TAA is proving that he isn't. And Klopp acts as if he no longer cares. I know that your video is focused on players, but Klopp's drop has affected all of the players at Liverpool.

Are you a fan? If so, what do you think about Gerrard? It's typical for fans in England, and of the Prem in general, to look down on SPL, but I've followed Rangers as a 2nd team, since Gazza went, and thought Gerrard could've built a real legacy for himself there. Shoulda stayed IMO.
@@wolfmauler Beale was the man who took the training under Gerard and came up with tactics that Stevie ignored, when he went to Villa,i warned he plays 1 way and 1 way only but then again so did all Liverpool's greatest managers.I suspect he will now go into media full time
