I won $100 on a $5 ticket and $100 on a $10 ticket *twice*. Lately we've been buying tickets independent of each other. I buy in groups or 3, 5 or 6 and have been winning more than losing. Sadly, SO has not been as lucky. But he bought his first $20 ticket last week and broke even. Breaking even is a welcome win. Of note, I make a list of the games with the lowest odds and how many big $$ tickets have not hit so I'm not buying randomly.
Friends of mine had to declare bankruptcy and lost their house because of their addiction to scratch cards. As long as you take it as a bit of fun and can afford to lose a few bucks then it's fine. I enjoyed this video, bit of a change. I can't believe people would pay $30 for a scratch card!

What usually do is have a set amount I spend. So if I spend 50 that means I’m willing to lose 50$. Whatever I win over 50 I keep. I put the 50 back into it

A couple of facts about lottery tickets. 1 there diffrent feeling from the scratch and the none scratching area. 2. If u move the tickets just right u can see the difference between the scratch and none scratch area.

That's what I usually do. Sometimes it pays out well and sometimes not, but you never know unless you try.
That is a great way to lose your money...far better to spend it on something you have wanted for while, but wouldn't ordinarily spend money on!
