Rob if you are ever looking to invest in Louisiana, I manage some airbnbs myself and my father owns a construction company. We’d love to work with you. Baton Rouge and New Orleans are big destinations here! Also love the vid!
If you're deciding between two place that are the same in every way. Including price, but one has a picklball court or whatever other thing, then you're going to pick the place with the extra thing. Adding 30% to your bookings on average.
Awesome video, as a pickleball contractor, I think you nailed all of the points you made. One recommendation to you is to buy a "Rol-Dri" tennis court squeegee for moving the water off the slab. Would love to partner with you on any Texas courts.
I just had a slab done two days ago. I noticed water puddling like crazy. Should I just use a squeegee, or is there a surface coating that might help the low spots?
Just got back from three hours of playing pickleball to find this video from my favorite pickleball STR host. Can’t wait to find the right property to build one of these for myself! Thanks so much for the tips, Rob!
For every amenity, upgrade, etc. that I add to my properties I do a calculation to see my ROI. So for a 35k upgrade I would need to make a significant amount of extra money each year. For my large multi-home property that's already booked every weekend and the entire summer the pickleball court will not likely bring in many extra bookings. So can I charge extra in order to make that ROI that I seek? Since the property already has unique amenities (indoor pool, 5000 sq ft private clubhouse, hot tub) and competitive pricing I'm hesitant to raise the pricing just for this. On a different property with less amenities I could add a lot of different amenities for that same 35k such as: hot tub, sauna, game room items like a pool table and more. A pickleball court can be the right upgrade in the right situation but such a large upgrade requires a lot of thought.
Did you ever consider sports tiles over the concrete so the lines last longer and it’s better on your joints? Also, did you consider asphalt at all? I’m currently researching how to install a 30’x60’ half-court basketball/pickleball court at my primary residence that I also Airbnb. Thanks for all these tips!
i recently did pickle ball. I recommend 65ft length and also follow United States pickleball association recommendations. Thanks Rob this is good video.
I would move there or Airbnb if I lived nearby. Would pay an additional $100 in rent for that facility. Get 10 more tenants like me to get a 30% return on that investment.
True. In my neighborhood park, the new pickleball courts have been shut down due to neighbor complaints. Apparently, the frequency of the "ping and pong" is especially irritating to the human ear. And, when combined with the chatter of voices, it can become unbearable. I just read a newspaper article about neighbors now suing neighbors over them?!
Rob I know I am not a Californian but how many people play pickle ball. For the past year and a half of me hearing you talk of this supposedly amenity I thought you confused. Good Luck Bud

Sounds scammy
Thanks for the transparency. Whoever poured that concrete without grading did you dirty.
You should look into the stone/epoxy mix for those stone areas so it's almost a rubber area instead of the loose stone.
I don't understand this at all..... why would I put a pickleball court on my Airbnb? It seems like the juice is not worth the squeeze
Yea...why would I want to book an airbnb so I can play pickleball.

@@Trey-yo6nqbecause some people are obsessed with PB
When people ask me if they should build a PB court I tell them, "only if it tickles your pickle"

Nice breakdown. Thank you for sharing.

Massive value add. Cheers Rob❤
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ROB!!

How was the concrete reinforced? Did you just use rebar or post tension cable or something else? Did you get a guarantee from cracking?
There has to be some industrial tape you could place on the court so you wouldn’t need to touch up the lines all the time
GREAT VIDEO! What court paint/acrylic surfacer would you recommend that is cost-effective?
Just thinking of adding one of these in a new property we just purchased. For your other place, how tall were the 4x4 posts with batting cage netting?
How much more do you get renting a place with a pickle ball court? Thinking about building a duplex with an interior court. Thanks, ADAM
More contracting content please
Exelente información, definitivamente con esta información puedo evitar todos estos problemas. Saludos.
The pickleball kitchen should be a different color.
Court looks great 👍
Great video.
I just don’t get the pickle ball craze all of a sudden. 😂😂
For $40,000 I’m building a gazebo, fire pit, and outdoor bbq. Maybe a pizza oven. But, pickle ball courts belong in the neighborhood parks.
Pickleball is America's fastest-growing sport and we like it #Pickleball
Robilt could have made a lot more money just buying a lot, building three pickleball courts and charging people to come play
You really looked like Napoleon Dynamite on that serve. 😋

Dang, I wish concrete was that cheap where I live.
I had a 30 X 60 poured here in Arkansas 2 days ago for $11,000.
The neighbors must HATE to hear that annoying pickleball sound all the time. I love playing though.

How much added revenue does a pickle ball court bring in? What is the cash on cash return on it?
When my wife books places to stay or camp, I ask if it has a picklball court, at least nearby. :)
Tip #1. Play ping instead. A lot cheaper to install at home.
You.... didn't know the court size before you built a court?
I remember I had a pool built in 2002 for 15 k

I guess you could say, “you could find yourself in a bit of a pickle.”
R. Build Joke 😊
Rob can you buy a property in Tampa I’d rent from u
Hmmmm. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.
LOL! Wawaaaaaaaaaa
