"He says a lot of things" - as if it does not matter! This guy sounded halfway reasonable until he said he would support Trump again! I am sick to death of this, "I don't think Trump will win, so I'm OK, but if he does, I'll support him" crap! Learn what a SPINE is and get one!
Most of Trump supporters know not to concern themselves with his statements. They support him for his successes while president and hope for more achievements in the future.

Incidentally, he showed how stupid he was by claiming that exporters pay tariffs, when it's actually the customer. He is so stupid, mud is jealous. How about the loss of world standing, the sucking up to Putin, and his idiotic plan to leave NATO? I'm not sure we could recover from any more of his "achievements."
@@tgbedini Search " President Trump Achieved list". Regarding tariffs, your president has canceled most Trump policies but has not canceled tariffs. Reason is unclear. Tariffs and sanctions have minor effects due to country allies providing support.
Based on his answer, Rep Dave Joyce's oath of office means absolutely nothing. Although Rep Joyce *says* he will defend and uphold the Constitution, all bets are off if a retiree in Florida says they should suspend it. Noted.
These clowns have no choice but to support the loser retiree. That's why he will not answer him in a direct way.

He plainly said his concern was making sure Republicans win even if those Republicans Wana suspend the constitution. That alone should be a disqualifying statement. Dismissing it as fantasy is what the Germans did with hitlers rhetoric and we remember how that played out.
But there's the problem there's no standards for Republican candidates anymore and sickening as his statement he just made was he's probably one of the mildest ones and thus it'll be forgotten.
George did an excellent job at the end of the interview, he pressed and followed up several times.
6:00 is when he asks him about Trump's call to terminate the Constitution; Joyce apparently has zero spine or commitment to upholding his oath to defend our republic's supreme Law of the Land.
Same old thing - GOP NEVER discusses even the possibility of taxing the rich. It always has to be the poor and working class accepting cuts to services, because god forbid that someone might not have all the yachts he wants!

Unless the GOP condemns Trump and Trumpism and all it stands for, I will never vote for another Republican in my life. Dave Joyce sounds like a reasonable person, but they bowed to their MAGA crazy base. They won't get away from that albatross until they excise those "principles" (or really a lack thereof) from their party.

I was with Rep. Dave Joyce until he said he would support a candidate who would suspend the constitution. As an american how do I support a party that supports a candidate that wants to suspend the constitution.

That is an absolutely shocking interview. Joyce has just said he will support a candidate for President who has just stated he wants to terminate (not suspend) the constitution. I have never heard anything like it.

Relax, Trump can suspend and reinstate the US Constitution back and forth on an hourly basis at his own discretion.

Saying that Kevin McCarthy deserves to be speaker because “he has done the hard work“ makes as much sense as saying someone should be president of the chess club because they’ve been in the chess club so long. It does not legitimize him as an effective speaker of the house. The fact that they can’t come up with anyone else is their own character, flaw, collectively.
This illustrates why I have decided I will never vote Republican again in my life and at this point there is nothing that can be done to change my decision. Dave seemed rational and reasonable but in the end, it is clear he will always place the Republican Party over the interests of the country! That is true for the Republican base and all elected representatives. Great job George not letting go of the critical issue until his position was made crystal clear!

Rep Joyce says he will support the Republican nominee even if it's a man who has attacked the Constitution. He needs to answer for this.

It's pathetic that even after Trump calls for the termination of our Constitution, the GOP *still* won't condemn him. Even worse, they'd still support him as the presidential nominee. Neither party has ever been perfect but coexistence is necessary because of this. Keep each other in check so to speak. Who does this guy think he is going to sway to his side by suggesting that a candidate who calls for terminating the Constitution is a viable candidate because he lacks the power to do it? Joyce has to be thinking to himself that this is a reasonable strategy. He has to think that he'll retain more voters by presenting this non-argument than he would by simply saying that he does not support it.
