In today's video I show how to clear a clogged water temp exit port on a Kawasaki. It's a pretty common issue on skis that have been sitting outside for any substantial amount of time, uncovered. I also take the ski for it;s first test ride so I can check the coor or plugs being it had a slight hanging idle... Check out the video and see how it's done. Good deal. Jist keep and eye on temps and plugs. You can get a digital temp gun from horbor freight or amazon and literally stop and check the engine and exhaust temps in the lake. Ive even pulled plugs in the middle of the lake ans found I waa running lean on acct of a ceank seal. On this yellow STX. Changed oit the seals and shes been running great since.

Great video! My JetSki had the same exact issue. I blew out the line, hooked up the garden hose, and water started coming out of the front port ! Is there any chance that it could still be clogged from the garden hose to the back of the JetSki? I would like to think it is fixed! I would just hate to take it back to the reservoir and have the same issue!! Thank you for your time!
Its possible I guess but chances are if its coming out there you should be good. Especially if it feels hot water coming out. That means its removing heat from the engine and exhaust.
Hey bro , i have the same jetski stx 900 2000 and yesterday in the water , i put it on reverse and all of sudden turn off all the power , then when i checked in the engine compartment there was good amount of water on the bottom , the electrical box was open and am sure everything got wet , so now i have 2 problems , first how dis water get inside the vessel and second how can i fix the electrical problem , because now i don’t el get any power at all when i turn the key “on” position i’m afraid that the ecu cdi got fried please any help or ideas would help a lot 🙏
There are fusus inside the round black cap on top of the electrical box. See if those are blown. And whike your at it. Make sure no water got into the eBox. If it did dry the ebox. Maybe disconnect connections and dry them out too. Most common leaks are the seals for the drive shaft or a water line that popped off.

How did you clean the engine compartment? Someone gave me this exact ski and it has set up for a few years. Same scenario. I’d like to clean it good so I can expect it better.
Simple green and pressure washer.
I have a 1997 Kawi 1100 Stx. Never had a problem for 11 years til today.
On the River as soon as I take off it goes into limp mode, overheat lamp lights.
I thought the problem was carbs, but a guy at the camp site told me my water lines are probably clogged with dried sand from last months trip, so suggested I disassemble the exhaust pipe and clean all the lines.
Looks like a several hour job.
Could the campers opinion be right, or should I be looking at something else before I follow his suggestion?
Do you have water coming out of the coolant port on the right side of the hall below the reverse lever? If you don't then that's your problem. Pull the hose off of the front of the expansion chamber of the exhaust and then take a bit of compressed air and shoot it through there and it should blow out the port and allow water to flow through. You can also take off that same hose and then connect your own piece of hose that is long enough to reach from that port on the exhaust over the side of the jet ski. Then hook your water hose up to the port on the back side of that same expansion chamber portion of the exhaust and then start your ski and turn the water on and you should have water coming out of that hose onto the ground if your coolant ports are clear or at least the ones around the exhaust.
If you don't have water coming out of that port at all when you start the ski and turn the water on then chances are the water jackets are clogged. But keep it simple first and start with that port and the hose for it.

I got a 1998 stx 1100 i blocked out the oil pump and added a primer, man life is much easier with that dangon primer

These engines are designed for 87 as they only have like 5.5:1 - 6.0:1 115-125 psi) compression ratio... 93 is for high compression engines like my dirt bike. It has 13.5:1 (175-200psi)
@@Fixin2Ride-Official- thanks alot i put 93 in my dirtbikes also but was doing the same with the ski, I see i was spinning my wheels a lil bit. I got the ski a few weeks ago and am getting used to it. I appreciate the knowlwedge bro
