Excellent content, explanation, and delivery. I greatly appreciate the real work you put into your videos, and I like your style. The world of skincare, especially if you have chronic dehydrated skin (I have autoimmune issues AND live in the desert) can be so difficult to navigate. Unlike some other skin types, if I make a mistake with what I add to my regimen it could, and has, messed my complexion up for days, weeks or months. And I'm super hyped about these non-hyaluronic acid ingredients.
It really takes a lot of time and effort to navigate the skincare world, with your skin and environment, it's extra hard! I'm really happy this was enjoyable and helpful!
I love to sandwich my Tretinoin between the Cosrx 96 & 92 cream! Then I lock it in with the Cicaplast B5 balm mixed with a few drops of rosehip oil. Such a good video! ❤
My favorite hydrating toner for sensitive, dry skin (holy grail status for years) is the Paula's Choice Moisture Boost essential hydrating toner. There is no HA, but it has a large percentage of SOD, which really helps to brighten the skin. I have tried many Korean toners and essences, and many are very good, but none have yet replaced this favorite for me. And you get around 6.4 oz for around $20, even less when it is on sale.
Great video Kelly, thank you! Would like to listen about such ingredients as resveratrol and pycnogenol. They both sound very promising, especially for those people who can't tolerate vitamin C. You've mentioned The Ordinary Pycnogenol few times in your previous videos, but it would be great to see the whole video about it.
Oooo, this is a great topic. I don't want to own too many products that all serve a similar purpose, and I've specifically wondered how to boil down what to look for in hydrating products.
The current weather and stress combination has upset my skin something fierce, so I went looking for products with panthenol, and came across Elementrē's Recovery Mask Cream - 8% Panthenol, Shea Butter, Squalane - I can really recommend it. It's a Swiss, vegan, fragrance free, and has no alcohols. Plus it's set at a great price. It's made a huge difference on my hyper sensitive, really dry skin that suddenly lost hydration.
Sorry was late seeing this, but Wow!!! What a great informative video! Nerdy me loved the deep dive into some of the kinds of hydrating ingredients that aren't as familiar. The more I know about what ingredients' purposes are the better I am had seeking out products. Thank you, Kelly! I hope this format is popular because doing a "family" type of ingredients video like this would be great to see more of.
I love the Purito Centella Unscented Serum and have been using it for a while now! Have you considered trying and reviewing Stratia’s new moisturizer? Thank you for all you do, Kelly! ❤
Loving your videos! I would like a video with products that show immediately effects or best antioxidant products or brightening products without niacinamid or more multiple purpose products (2 in 1/ 3 in 1). Greetings from Germany!
I LOVE YOUR HAIR !!! ... my fav product/ingredient is definitely the ordinary and their 2% hyaluronic acid and the snail mucin essence from cosrx.. and of course my purito water cream. Everything else in between is of course important but these 3 things bring my face so much hydration! ❤️
My favorite hydration is urea. It's also a pentitration enhancer for other ingredients. I really want to try a j-beauty "lotion" by sukoyaka suhada. It has urea. And the one mentioned in this video to compare the two.
Colloidal Oat still remains the underrated ingredient a lot of companies have a hard time making great formulas with oat being the star player I find 2% or higher really do amazing on the skin
Hey Kelly, stumbled onto this video and love the content. K-Beauty products are the best! I’m currently loving IUNIK Beta glucan serum and moisturizer. The moisturizer has niacinamide and pairs well at night with Tretinoin. I have dry skin and am always on the hunt for good skincare. Thanks so much for this video!
The Mediheal serum also contains the PHA gluconolactone. Both of The Ordinary moisturizers contain arginine with it being higher up in the list in the original.
After last week's video this is particularly helpful and interesting. Another list of mouthwatering products and ingredients, some of which I'm using right now, some that are waiting to be opened and some in my shopping cart. Well done, Kelly! A hug from the UK. 💖
Lovveee the Mediheal baobab serum and toner! It is one product that I definitely saw noticeable results from. I got it for the ceramides but it did so much more ❤
Never knew the Ample:n serum has aquaxyl yet I'm already on my 3rd bottle, thanks Kelly! No wonder, it's one of those serum (also the BOJ calming serum) that keep me going back to 👌
Kelly, thank you so much I’m struggling so much my skin atm in terms of sensitivity & dryness !! I’ve been on tret for 2 years have never been able to use more than 2 nights a week but I’ve hit a wall and my skin cannot tolerate it at all. Your a skin lifesaver ❤️❤️❤️ ps love love your hair 🔥
I’ve been on tret for 7 months and couldn’t get over 2 nights a week. I suffered flakes, itching and dryness. Wayne Goss mentioned contact therapy. If you haven’t tried it and would be interested let me know and I’ll explain. In just a months time I’m using tret 0.05 nightly with no issues.
@@bellesall6045 I’m sorry I didn’t see the notification for your comment. I started out with a moisturizer, wait at least 30 minutes then apply tret. I left it on for 15 minutes every night for a week, then went to 25 minutes a night for a week, etc. Wash it off and do regular skincare routine or just moisturizer. This builds the skins tolerance without irritation. Just adjust your time by your skin. I went to an hour within a weeks time. After a week I’ve used it nightly for three months now without any problems. I still do the sandwich method, moisturizer, tret, moisturizer. Hope this makes sense and helps. I would have given up had I not done it this way. Good luck!
Loved this! I’ve really been enjoying the mediheal serum based on your recommendation! This is unrelated but can you recommend a moisturizing lip spf? Everyone forgets the lips! I am having the hardest time finding one I like. Thanks Kelly!
I have been using the Biosionse Copper peptide serum to plump and hydrate and I found it at marshals in a set with the eye cream for 24.99 so I bought 2 sets can't beat that deal. I thought I would let u know sense you love that serum to .
Have any of you tried Experiment Beauty's Supersaturated serum for hydration? I have dry sensitive skin and I have heard great things about it for dry skin but no one is talking about how it might affect sensitive skin. If you've tried it, I'd love to hear about your opinion and skin type.
What would you say is better between the rovevtin cream and the purito b5 cream? My skin is dehydrated, needs calming/soothing(i got the redness and occasional breakouts).. i am currently using the snail cream for years now. But lately canadian weather and maybe age is hitting. There's just lack of plumpness and tightness despite the hydrating toners, essences, and serums.
Frustrating with ingredients....I'm using a c serum, but also the Benton Galactomyces Essence....so which one is doing the brightening?....Hard to tell in my many step process... But what I did notice...I used Cetraben Cream on my face and my skin was Glowing....
Panthenol and urea must be some of my very favourite ingredients in skincare, honestly. I wish urea was more widespread in skincare products. Maybe is it difficult to formulate with?

P.S. I use those products too 👍
Can rosehip oil help with dry skin?

Which products do you like with collodial oat at 2percent or more ?
Are there any serums similar to the beauty of Joseon Glow serum you would recommend? Thanks ❤😊

Awesome video. Elf holy hydration fragrance free and aveeno calm and restore. After one of those, a thick cream like regular Cerave.
Have you had a chance look into the new products from avene?

I once bought a K-Beauty essence that was a straight up moisturiser, the terminology is all over the place these days.
Great Video Kelly
What lipstick are you wearing?
Such a great video!!!
Have you used anua toner ?
Please advise if beta glucan should be used in a humid environment and not in a dry one. Thanks
It can be used in any environment, it's not sitting at the surface of the skin like Hyaluronic Acid.
Oh Beta-Glucan is so good!
@@KellyDriscoll Thank you. Using the Iunik Beta Glucan serum based off your recommendation and its great. Sending you love from South Africa!

I love urea too! It's helped my skin so much.
I wish urea was more common too, it's super hard to find urea focused skincare! I wonder if it's just the name that turns people off?
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your generous support, it's very appreciated!🙏❤️
I want to know if I can use a tranexamic acid serum with chemical exfoliates with the purito unscented serum?? Help!!!
Yes there is no reason you can't!

Good morning!👋
@@KellyDriscoll it's night in India, but yeah morning Kelly! ❤
I think it pronounces argi nin, not argi nai, and 'glu coside, not glu 'coside, and u'rea, not 'urea.
Agreed on all except urea
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your ongoing support, Shari! It's much appreciated! 🙏
