A big thank you. While you were demonstrating the first box I thought to myself will he show us where else we can play this, and you did! And then I thought can these be linked? Yes, you did that as well!! Lots to learn and enjoy here. Again, thanks Marc.
This one is genius Marc. Now you've gotten a whole load of people, with a few minutes of practice every day, able to jam along to a blues backing track without freezing up at the thought of learning scales and a whole load (well there are only 5 max) of shapes of the minor pentatonic scale. And you've ripped the useful meat & potatoes out of those positions. Lots of people will take a big step forward from this Marc.
Man I just received you in my feed. I haven’t seen your TH-cam page in 5-6yrs I bet. Life took its toll on me , my guitar playing was in hiatus for awhile-oh well , but I’m around again.. Good 2 see you again Marc … Merry Christmas 🎄 🧑🎄
A lot to learn with just few notes used, The right way to develop expessivity for me. Simplicity, efficacity, personnality, may be the spirit of the blues. Simple but good lesson 👍 Sorry for the approximate english and all the best for the end of the year.
Great video. You have come a long way in a short time. The one thing that I might suggest (if you have not done so already) is to tab out a few of your improvised licks that you use with your backing track. I believe this would be a great addition to your videos.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Your lesson just amazing!!!! So simple and yet so exceptionally beautiful. Thank you very much. Cheers from Indonesia.
@@JuzzaDaMuzza The 4 notes are frets 8 and 10 on both the D and G string. TH-cam has functions to allow you to slow down the video, loop sections, etc so you can go over the intro section.
This was a huge step forward in learning to solo.
Fantastic! So pleased to read this comment

Excellent lesson!
Do the 4 notes work for the 3 chords of the progression?
Yes they do!
Great lesson Marc .. can you post the link of the backing track .. it would be very useful thanks a lot ! Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽🤟🏻🎸✔️
Hi Raul, it's here: th-cam.com/video/TSpLihaA1Fk/w-d-xo.html
Happy holidays mark, nice lesson but you did not play all three at the end😏 i like listening sounds good to me
Thanks Ronald, Happy holidays!
Bonjour Marc, again, it's a great lesson 🙏 would you send me the tab and the mp3 ? Thanks from a patreon member
Thanks! 😃
Very informative, beautiful Stratocaster, what model?
Thanks! I built it myself. Bought all the parts and put it together
@@MarcGuitarVideos It's a Marcocaster :-)
People can make sound bluesy like that , they master scale already for sure 😊
Thanks
It's one position but actually 8 notes.
For a beginner it’s hard to follow. I love the idea and i get it but it’s set up too quickly. It’s hard to see which notes you’re going from and to
Needs a close zoom super slow repeated

@@MarcGuitarVideos thanks marc thats very handy 😀
Dude, if you’re playing 4 specific notes, u r playing a scale fragment
Yes, that's my point at the end of the video at 9:40. You're right, any time we are playing a collection of notes, we are playing a scale.
